"This is one more embarrassing incident for a Rockets team that's frankly already had its share this season," Nichols said. "I mean, can the Rockets equipment staff find something for its players to spray their hands with that would make them play defense or would maybe keep its best player out of the tabloids for sleeping around on a Kardashian, because that's really what would be helpful."

My girlfriend is a feminist and I can promise it does not mean hating men. It means being treated as an equal. It's super easy to deal with her when you find all people to be equal.

So, Amy Schumer is a feminist and she likes men. Feminism is everywhere these days and it's incredibly non-threatening. You'll see when Becky Hammon is our head coach next year!

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Dwight Howard is surprised and disappointed that he's being labeled a cheater.

On Monday, the NBA issued an official warning to the Rockets for the center's use of a sticky substance on his hands during Houston's loss to the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday. Sources told ESPN's Marc Stein that will be the extent of the punishment.

Sources told ESPN that the NBA notified its 30 teams via league memorandum Monday that the Rockets were issued a formal warning because of "the team's use of an adhesive substance on a player's hands during a game."

Atlanta's Paul Millsap complained about the ball while shooting free throws with 3:36 remaining in the first quarter Saturday. Howard had made a layup before Millsap's free throws.

Howard said Monday that he doesn't understand what all the fuss is about.

"I just think that it's getting overblown, like I'm doing something crazy," he said. "But again, I've never been a cheater, never been the type of player that has to do something illegal to win. It's upsetting, but I can't control it now."

"I just think that it's getting overblown, like I'm doing something crazy. But again, I've never been a cheater, never been the type of player that has to do something illegal to win. It's upsetting, but I can't control it now."

After the incident, referees gave warnings to each bench and then approached the scorer's table, where they were directed to a can covered with white tape. The can was removed, and one of the officials told the scorer to alert him if it was seen again.

Howard noted that many players use sprays and powders on their hands during games.

"I've been using the spray for the last five years," he said. "I never hid the spray. I never did anything to try to hide what I was doing. It was just something to make my hands dry."

There was no penalty issued during the game.

Bickerstaff was surprised anyone asked about the can and surprised by reports that the team tried to hide it from the officials.

"Every time Dwight goes into the game, it's the same routine," he said. "It was no cover-up on my part."

Bickerstaff said Howard did nothing wrong.

"He's never run to the back in the locker room to try to trick anyone," he said. "It was never brought to our attention. No one's ever said anything to us about it. If you go back, you can watch every single one of our games for the past three years. It's [the can] there, so we were obviously surprised by the attention it has drawn."

The Rockets are more worried about star guard James Harden's status for Tuesday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Harden missed practice with a sprained left ankle and is listed as questionable. He has missed just one game the past two seasons, and that was due to a suspension for kicking LeBron James last season.

It does now. Your girlfriend isn't really a "feminist" by modern standards, as is evidenced by she has a boyfriend. Vast majority of girls aren't either. It has been hijacked.

The rim is rubber and Dwight is glue. Anything he shoots bounces off of the rim and sticks to him.

You've lost your mind. You should meet modern women. They're awesome.

Edit: Sorry, I should say I hope you meet more modern women. There are great feminists out there that don't hate men. I promise that feminists are more broad that just calling them "man-haters". I thought like you did once upon a time, but times change and we're in those times right now.

thats what angers me most, us fans can say all that and be upset all we want. why the hell is she taking shots at the rockets? did the organization slight her in any way? harden give her the side eye? just seems odd that she would take this stance. does she usually go on rants on certain teams/players? shes seems legitimately mad at the rockets lol, not even jokingly

I had a friend whose wife was a feminist. One time when we were having a dinner with our wives, my friend talked about how he had played basketball in the gym with a girl. He said, "You won't believe how good she is. She plays like a guy!" And his wife heard it and immediately snapped, "What do you mean by playing as good as a guy?" We all laughed at him. Freudian slip.

I just started dating this one a few months ago. She kept saying she was good at throwing a football. To myself I was like, okay, she won't "throw like a girl" but let's see this. I lofted a ball to her, she caught it perfectly then threw a laser back that stung my hands. Haha, never underestimate folks!

If he's been doing it all along, why did it just come up now (during the Hawks game)? You'd think one of the other players would have noticed a sticky ball before Milsap did.

So this stuff always leaves some stickiness behind on the ball?

The absolute hatred towards the rockets by the media is pretty crazy. Nichols cam fiuck right off. It's one of those situations where I can talk **** about my family cause I love them, but you better keep your mouth shut.

The stick-um story is a non issue being overblown because that's what the media does.

She's trying to be like "one of the guys" by being sexist. Kardashians aren't role models but no need to slut shame. She should know better when dudes are wondering how many ball players she's slept with.

All you gotta do is start winning to prove them wrong. Seems to be too much to ask from this team, though.
