Exactly, I mean on some of the episodes between its been days/no time/same day repeated for same event taking multiple episodes (since other characters point of view etc), I mean the whole Daryl, Abraham, Sasha thing didn't take 7 weeks but like 1-2 days etc. I mean sure, there's been some gaps but a lot of it is grouped together.
It's annoying that nobody ever says zombies even though they use the term occasionally in the comics. It starts to feel forced.
The writer says the term zombie is not part of the Walking Dead universe, despite it being used a couple of times in the comics. The reason given is if they already had a notion of zombies from pop culture then they would have known from the beginning to shoot them in the head and other things. Also, early on, before ep 1, they didn't know about how bites infected you. Zombies for us are fantasy. So in a universe where they actually exist, there is no prior notion of them.
Hell, the entire first 9 episodes of this season was just 1-2 days, right -- from the quarry to the slaying of all the walkers. Of course, a couple of episodes were flashbacks.
"Negan" will have to kill at least one character for him to matter at all. Prime targets are Maggie, Glenn, Daryl, Morgan and Carol. Not that the characters are terrible... They seem predestined to die. I think Rick has to survive most of the adult group and Carl will become the leader. It will be a sad, pudding-filled day.
My theorie: Spoiler from the whole "we're all Negan" thing that one or two guys of the said, I can see "Negan" being more of a philosophy adopted by the gang than a person like in the comics
Spoiler I get what you mean but they made a big deal about casting Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Negan earlier in the year. It could also be their philosophy or a way to protect the identity of him though.
That'd be almost exactly like making Galactus a cloud of dust. Turning a comic's (WD is a comic) biggest villain into... nothing.
solid episode overall. A little confusing at times I thought. Curious to see what happens with Carol In case anyone is curious, I was wondering what song was playing in the middle of the episode. This was it: https://youtu.be/yPgUyinaq_c
it's been excellent. i think i will wait to watch the last two episodes back to back. i don't feel like waiting after the inevitable cliffhanger after next week's episode.
I think there will be a **** storm and having Carol leave saves her from getting the axe. She might return and be the leader if Rick gets the axe or she might come back and save the day. I would think Glen is a goner and probably Eugene, Rosita, and Daryll. They may not kill Daryll off because he's a fan favorite but so are most of the big characters.
We didn't get a reaction from Tara. Where was Tara? I would Have loved to see their relationship breath a little. Disappointing.
Here's the thing. No matter what else, this is still a television show, and one of the most popular of all time. It's a business, and businesses are about making money. The producers of this show know which side their bread is buttered on, and they know that the fans have several years invested in the main core characters. Despite the fact that we already know who Negan kills in the comic, I doubt at this point the producers feel any strong urge to adhere tightly to that line. And potential costs would likely outweigh whatever benefits they might gain from killing him off. So, I just get the feeling that Negan kills someone outside the primary 'core' group. My gut is telling me it's going to be Spoiler Abraham , but it could be the Priest, it could be Eugene, it could be Dredds-with-Glasses.. someone like that.
Not again Daryl. Idiots keep letting their guard down. You would think they would smarten up at some point and keep a low profile when out scouting.
