He's coming off the bench, and usually playing with Brewer smh

And playing against the other bench.

Beasley has all the talent in the world, but is one of those player that doesn't make the team better.

He is playing great, and if he has his act together can be a major help for the Rockets.

    I don't know if that's Beasley's fault.

I mean, it's not as if the PF's who have been playing were good at defense or anything.

But his on/off numbers are pretty bad based on basketball-reference.

When he's on the court, the team's offensive rating is 108.5... pretty good. But the other team's offensive rating when he's on the court is 127.9! Holy ****balls!

For comparison, when he's OFF the court, the team's offensive rating is 107.8 (so only 0.7 worse than when he's on the court), but the opponent's offensive rating is 107.9 (not great, but 20 points better than when Beasley is on the court. That is a monstrous difference).

He certainly made the team better last night against Atlanta. Maybe you missed the game but without Beasley the game would have been over at halftime.

The Rockets have been better with Beasley in the rotation. There is no argument against that "Fact", therefore (at least up to this point) he is exactly the type of player that makes the team better.

Our bench has been getting destroyed all season so the on/off court stats I will take with a grain of salt. Its not like Terry and Brewer have been great defenders.

Well he has a wife and kids now, so hopefully that will help him out.

Also going to China is another type of humbling. It's one thing to go to Minnesota...and then another to have to go overseas to play. Many guys that do just end up staying over there or fizzing out and realizing they had a nice career in basketball.

The numbers he put up in China and now how he's playing now makes me wonder if he's not only humble, but eager to prove a point.

Plus/Minus is an EXTREMEMLY flawed statistic. Play Beasley with James and the starters and see how nice his +/- is...

Play Beasley with James and the starters and see how good his points per 36 is. It's a double-sided argument.

But doesn't Brewer always play with himself? ;) So, wouldn't his +/- be lower than Beasley's by that logic?

I would like to see more Beasley with DMo. Dwight is a terrific rebounder and a good shot blocker and defender but he is a train wreck on offense. DMo and Beasley are both very good offensive players capable of getting off their own shot when needed.

Beasley is playing himself into some big money next year. With another team.

Agree. Harden gets to the rack easily with those two out there together.

You are right, after delving further I saw the team option. I got ahead of myself when thinking deal was only for the remainder of the season.

I'd say he's the PF we've been looking for ... the PF we deserve.

    Line up should be

    Harden, Ariza, Beasley, Tjones, Montijunas

Put that team out there, let howard come off the bench.
