TBH, it didn't just look like one of those off games. At no time SAS players gave Curry any space to shoot. Danny Green's suffocating defense was outstanding also. Spurs tonight showed that switching on defense is a great strategy if executed properly. Kudos to Pop for coming up with yet another masterful defensive scheme. The guy's a genius.

Yeah everytime Curry has a bad game people say the team or defender got him figured out. Remember the Cavs? Remember Delly?

The Warriors were caught at a bad time, they had to mess up the lineup, play the small unit for extended time due to Bogut's injury. With Igg out, the small unit was not that much a fact.

Also, GSW starters had to play relatively big minutes yesterday since it was a tight game until late 4th qtr. I'd say the Warrior did alright today.

sure, it was totally unrelated to Spurs' excellent defense

You can see every Curry FGA here and it shows that Spurs did a tremendous job on defense, he had no open shot and their defense covered screens and help really well. Putting Green, Kawhi and Aldridge on Curry is extremely effective with regards to size and defensive iq, Spurs got a really good chance at winning vs GSW in the playoffs if this game is an indication. Incredible individual and oversized defenders vs Curry and world-class team defense, this is the way to go.

You don't think Curry is going to make any adjustments? You think the Spurs magically figured out something that nobody else could?

Put Curry on NyK or Portland, both still struggle to make playoffs

Hard to believe with GS staff leaking stories about his legendary deadlifts ability

Having him in a GOAT conversation is insulting , even as a PG who shoots, can't set up or control game flow like the Nash's, Stockton ' s and Magics of last 25 yrs.

On top of that, he doesn't deal with hand checking or rough up defense. This is huge, and why players from past don't respect him as something more than a guy putting up shots from everywhere.

It's fun to watch, playing college ball out there, but in the grand scheme of things very much built on hype the softness of last 5 years has created. Can't compare it to impact of Payton or Isiah in different eras without a video game system inflating stats.

You lezzys have no idea what the greats were like , getting mesmerized by a glamorous system with an all nba 2-8 cast.

You think Spurs being the best defensive team in the NBA and also having one of the historical seasons (projected to win 69) is a coincidence? You think Curry getting blocked twice in a game (one from behind the 3 point line which didn't happen all year long) and having two best perimeter defenders (Kawhi & Danny Green) have nothing to do with Curry struggling?

This. Danny Green played very physical defense on him in the last game, and you could clearly see Curry not enjoying this from his facial expression.

That's because he just started doing this. Like Dirk and his midrange/post fadeaway rampage when they won the Finals wasn't able to be done in video games til they added it the next year. They will add Curry's deep range ability next game, but current 2k plays just like him the way he dribbles, shoots and scoop lay ups, tear drops, etc.

The thing that sucks is the legends don't really play like themselves. Jordan doesn't play like Jordan. Hakeem has regular post moves. Shaq doesn't dunk like Shaq, etc. They need to add legends actual moves too other than like 2 different Jordan lay ups(he had like a million different lay ups) and dunks that look like someone trying to dunk like Jordan and a free throw line slam dunk contest dunk he never did in game. The next gen 2k legends faces don't even look like them anymore either. They look like cartoons compared to all the other realistic faces and bodies of current players.

Too bad the rough hand check era of the 80s and early 90s resulted in higher scores, higher shooting percentages and more fouls called per game even though supposedly they let the players play back then.

Out of everything he's done this season, I think the following vine is the most impressive. Draymond tries to dump water on Steph's head every time he's in a post-game interview, and is more often successful than not. However, tonight, Steph drilled the cup out of Draymond's hand with a no-look, behind-the-head, towel toss right on the money.

You can tell from Draymond's reaction that wasn't set up.

Huh? Green reacted as Curry began throwing it. He held the cup there to ensure it was hit. Clearly they planned this.

His reaction was like a kid getting caught trying to do something sneaky. In the split second it happened, he may not have even registered the towel getting thrown towards the cup. And yeah I'm sure they planned it... in the locker room at halftime, they conspired with each other on this diabolical plot. Perfectly executed, just as Kerr drew it up!

Of course, Curry (and Kerr) will make adjustments for the next game. It's why they have coaches.

But let's not take anything away from the Spurs. They didn't magically figure something out but they have personnel that no other team has. There's a reason San Antonio is also quietly breaking records as well. The Spurs aren't just a good team this year... they're having one of the best regular seasons in history.

They still have a chance (slim one) of making 70 wins... and they have a very good chance of 69 wins which would be tied for the second greatest regular season ever as of this moment (most likely 3rd unless Warriors implode). Along with the Warriors, they're close to becoming the only two teams in history of not losing 2 in a row... They're also 2 home wins away from being the first team to go undefeated at home in a season. 40-1 would still be tied with the Celtics for best all time.

The fact that we are watching TWO teams having two of the greatest regular seasons ever...it's absolutely insane to think about. It's great to be a basketball fan right now. Depending on how the playoffs go... imagine a 7 game WCF series (Warriors/Spurs) and a 7 game finals with Cavs vs Warriors/Spurs... you could argue that this is the best season of basketball of all time. If Warriors blow away everyone, it might lose some of its luster but it would probably cement the Warriors as one of the GOAT teams (if not the GOAT team).

And holy ****, Curry is 22 away from making 400 three's with 5 games to go. He's on track for the first ever 50/45/90 season... and I believe 6th player to have a 50/40/90 season.
