I was just talking about yesterday with my little post, but I'm sharing your sentiments 100% and also agree that majority of Bayern fans feel this way.

Regarding transfers: I heard that Costa and Coman were on Bayern's radar for years and we would've aimed for them no matter who's coaching. Thiago was obviously a great choice and only signed because of Pep, so that's something. Alonso is crap, Bernat had one good season and that's it. Wouldn't mind seeing them both gone this summer.

Agree that we'll get slaughtered by Barca/Real again because of the high defense.

Can't wait for the Ancelotti era and hope we'll sign a world class defender to improve our defense, things should be going much smoother in the next years. Ancelotti really knows how to make the best of a roster, how to adapt his system vs. different opponents and how to properly treat players.

Very true, and was disgusting how he always acted like he wasn't responsible (super super medical team, love these guys. Best docs in the world olé olé) for the clashes with them. Heard we'll likely bring back Müller-Wohlfahrt as a kind of medical advisor, would be great.

Thiago is an exciting player. I suspect that the fact the has fallen out of favor with Pep a little bit has to do with him staying at Bayern (for now) when Pep expected him to come along with him.

    Agree with you on everything.

Looks like I anti-jinxed you Bayern brehs when I asked about your team yesterday. You're welcome!:p

Still think this team is the only one that can really give Barca a run for their money. I really hope Gotze moves to Man United this summer. Such an immense talent being rotted away in Munich. (yes I know we don't need him)

Watched Barca a few times this season, they'd completely rape our defense. Maybe even worse than last season.

Will be interesting to see how Ancelotti utilizes Götze, still have my hopes up that Ancelotti sees the value of having Götze as a central midfielder that makes key passes. Competition is brutal in our midfield though, so Götze will definitely have to step up.

Feel like Pep is one of those coaches that can annoy players really quick with his behaviour and attitude ("You're a super super player, best I ever had. What, next game? No, you won't play."), when he doesn't play you 90min/game you'll come to hate him sooner than later. Probably even worse for Thiago, as he's Pep's prodigy and likely made more responsible than other players for bad performances and mistakes.

^^ Gees guys yall truly opened up and whatnot... I won't touch on all the points yall brought up because I don't feel I know enough about the siuation to argue with yall, I will say I agree on a couple but in others I feel yall are been a bit unfair.

I said it here before but I'll mention it again, I started following Barca in the early 90's around the time Cruyff started playing Pep, been supporting him since and will continue to do so. I will say that Pep has always been this way, stubborn and he will continue to do so and clearly that isn't working in Munich. So, if that's truly the sentiment from majority of true Bayern fans then I suppose the "divorce" is best for both parties.

I've rooted for Bayern since that 99 fiasco against Utd (Obviously not against Barca) at Camp Nou. Haven't seen many of Bayern's game last couple of season cuz my provider doesn't show them but nonetheless I watch all UCL games they play in. So I'm far from a hardcore Bayern fan but nonetheless I always root for yall, so Hoping Ancelotti brings success. One thing I will say is that during his time at Madrid he was often criticized for his defensive approach to the game. Not that there's nothing wrong with that but just keep it in mind.

I have always liked Thiago but like I said in the beginning his maturity as a player is not yet at the level of his skill. I could see the switch turn on in a year or two with a different coach though. He's probably way too comfortable with Pep anyways.

It's so weird thinking about Pep. I mean he's an amazing manager but what made me excited about Luis Enrique was his fire. Pep wouldn't be able to do what Enrique is doing Barca right now. Nor would Enrique be as successful as Pep would in Bayern.

Football is a funny game and the shift from Pep to Enrique while hard in the beginning is just the kick in the ass the team needed after 2009.

Agree. Come on now, ATW. You witnessed the emotionally best game since the Champions League Final 2013 (a lot persons like myself can only dream to attend such a game) and all you say is **** Pep. That's annoying.
About your long post, there are some points I agree and some I disagree, it would take a whole evening at a bar to get through this. I see your point, but our guys will win the championship the fourth time in a row, will pretty sure make it to the DFB Cup final and have a decent chance to advance to the Champions League semis for five straight seasons. This club has gone through darker times, so let's just enjoy the moment and hope for Boateng and Martínez to settle our defense.

Agreed. Of course I was happy about the win. My initial post actually came after a lot of victory celebration beers and not enough energy to comment on more than the sentiment that built up quite strongly over the first 92 minutes ;).

Makes me think of Pep Guordiola the defender and player

Wasn't all that ego back then, defenders mostly make good coaches

How excited are you regarding Ancelotti for next season? I bet he won't take the team farther than Pep.

Really excited, as he's a proven winner and also big at adapting to the player's strengths and opponents. Also a great person and loved by his former players. Will make Bayern a more balanced team again, especially on defense.

Pardon my ignorance but why are they putting to La Liga teams against each other this early? Are they trying to prevent a mostly Spanish final 4?

Early? Country restrictions until the semis would be a little late, wouldn't it? It has always been like that.

Good draw for Bayern. After one of the toughest opponents in the last round, now we get one of the easiest. We should do this even without Boateng and Martínez.

Klopp versus Dortmund just had to happen. German media is going wild, this match will be bigger than Wolfsburg versus Real.

Well damn. Guess United being out now is a bit of a blessing in a way that I don't have to watch us get annihilated by Aubumayang and co.

Klopp vs his old team... IMMEDIATELY within the first few months of his first term as LFC coach. Doesn't get any more poetic than that.

Now will LFC win? We'll go as far as Firmino takes us. The whole team, even the subs will have to have perfect games. It'll be an emotional game. Children crying, women screaming, old men fainting. And Klopp will break his glasses again if we win.
