Why isn't Dominionism getting the same treatment and moral panic that pundits give in red-baiting Bernie, talking about corporate influence on Clinton or equating Trump with Mussolini or Hitler?
I don't think Jeremiah Wright's political and religious views would be nearly as newsworthy as those of a presidential candidate.
Jeremiah wright actively believed in a near term end times on this planet? Didn't remember that, but I do remember a ton of coverage for him... Well, no, I recall a 23 second clip of him being on heavy rotation on Fox.
Honestly who cares? Obama went to his church for political reasons, and dumped Wright when it became a political albatross. I am not even really criticizing Obama for doing so, all of the President's in recent memory had to pledge their love of a Christian God up to that point.
Commodore? The topic is actually Cruz and dominionism. But not super relevant after tonight's results.
I'm thinking that there will be a contested convention. The last person everyone opposed to Trump would rally around is Ted Cruz. Sorry, Ted, but you aren't going to be President of these United States.
People here b**** that Trump is going to enforce the law and remove illegals from the country. Unlike Trump, Cruz wants to do the same but never let them back in. Why are these same people saying that Trump is the crazy one?
Now that Rubio is out, it is going to get a whole lot tougher for the Donald. If Rubio had exited the race last week, Cruz likely would have already won Missouri and North Carolina tonight, and Illinois and Florida would very likely be too close to call. So at this moment, Trump still has less than half the delegates he needs to sew up the nomination. Needless to say, there is still a long way to go. Now with Marco Rubio out of the race, and Kasich's proverbial 15 minutes being just about up, things are likely be a good bit more competitive from here on out. It is for all practical purposes finally a two-man race.
I agree Cruz is as bad. Trump is a blowhard who is about personal aggrandizement. Cruz is far more calculating. He hasn't gotten as much scrutiny or negativity as Trump has because of how outsized and loud the Trump campaign is.
Anyone think the Anonymous threat that Cruz has a history with prostitutes and will reveal all tomorrow is real? https://amp.twimg.com/v/a1057ed6-4ae6-400e-8bd7-e27c1ddd411a
I think that might be a big part of Cruz's plan all along. He's very much like a racer who runs in his opponents' windshadow so they deal with most of the air resistance while he uses less energy. This might explain why early on in the campaign he was sucking up to Donald Trump and why he held back attacking Trump until relatively recently and not nearly as hard as Rubio did. He's figured he could stake the most rightward stance st up a good organizations and let the others fight it out. THis could win a him a few states and eventually by default it would be him versus whoever was the establishment candidate. As it turned out there was Trump and everyone else was instead fighting to be the anti-Trump. I'm no fan of Cruz but so far it looks like he's run a very smart and strategic campaign.
It's practically over. After yesterday, Trump has ~686 delegates. Cruz ~417. There are 1030 left. Cruz would have to win nearly 80% of the delegate left to win the nomination. The only practical play left is to deny Trump the 1237 delegates he need to win the nomination outright.
