He played garbage minutes against what was basically a D-league squad, but his shot looked good and his game is much improved since he was last in the NBA. But he's still a third string PG in this league, though even that was in question during his last stint.
As opposed to Brewer and Smith who can't hit any shots usually regardless of time? At this point, I will take what we can get.
Both Goldlocks and Beasley may turnout to be upgrades from Lawson/Thornton especially from a team chemistry standpoint...the Rox actually appear like they're enjoy playing with one another now versus hating it...this has been a problem per Jason Terr this year
I hope JB is smart enough to get this guy on the floor. He has the skill set we need from that position. Not kidding when I say this but...... Goudelock Harden Ariza Beasley Howard Could be a hard group to guard for any team come playoff time. I have to give it to Morey. He thought outside the box and found two steals in China. Don't sleep on this kid
The plays he made are NBA quality plays who cares if it was garbage time. We had guys this year who couldn't even hit shots in garbage time playing heavy minutes like Sewer. It's refreshing to see guys who are motivated to play for this team and not constantly looking like they are in a funk. JB needs to man up and see what AG has. Give Beasley and Mcdaniels more minutes as well. He could even play Beasley at the three at times and post him up against smaller players while Capela and Montrez are on the floor. Lawson would have looked like **** last night no matter what time it was and you guys know it.
The best thing is we have a high chance of keeping both of them even if they blow up. Who the **** would pay big money to Goudelock and Beasley?
Andrew Goudelock Andrew Goudelock looked great last night against the Grizzlies! He looked liked an effective PG. His three point shot was fire and his scoring in general. His passing and his running of the offense was great! and his great defense. This man def needs extended minutes!! what do yall think?
IA Ogree! the kid is talented. His floater is money and I think he is already the best shooter on the team as far as mechanics go. he should split gaurd minutes with Bev.
Shut terry down for a little while. Terry is for fourth quarter playoff buckets baby. Let goldilocks be the first pg off da bench
Everyone got excited about the boring but consistent play of Goudelock and Thornton when they came on board, but I'm not sure the Rockets know who they want to be. Are we the run and gun playground team that wings it with athleticism and raw talent and effort, or are we the organized pick you apart with a consistent strategy team. Disciplined and Organized, but less athletic: Harden Motiejunas Ariza Goudelock Dekker Jones Terry playground: Smith Brewer Dwight Beasley Beverley Capela Harrell McDaniels In general, we lean toward the antithesis of Golden State. We like the playground style, but as soon as we see a guy like Motie or Gourdelock, we get all giddy. So who are we really, and who do we want to be, the talented but undisciplined athletic team, or the opposite.
I just got a strong sense of deja vu, like you've posted the very same question with a past Rockets team. Have you? Is this a common theme for you? You seem to make a false dichotomy between athletic and non-athletic, to call one playground and the other disciplined. That's not really true. For instance, Rafer Alston is pretty much the definition of true playground as he OWNd the playgrounds (AND1 tapes), but he was very disciplined in the NBA. btw: GSW can be pretty playground, too. Curry bombs are the definition of a lot of playground ball. And they run as much as anyone. I wouldn't make them an example of unathletic, disciplined ball.
Goudelock should be taking some PT from Terry. The team will be getting better as the season comes to an end. It should be a fun ride. I am just hoping that the team D gets better to where the team is not giving up triple digits.
