well this is funny Asked Kerr about Curry's crunch time success. He had fun with that question. Kerr: Mostly coaching. You know, just making sure I put him in the right position, at the right time. I have an uncanny knack. Me: Why don't you do it all four quarters then? Kerr: Well, it's the element of surprise. I don't want to give away my hand. First three quarters, so I just let him be really good. And then I tell him in the fourth, ‘Like hey, if you were spectacular right now, it would catch everyone off guard.' Me: Did that rope-a-dope strategy come from Popovich or Phil Jackson? Kerr: Straight me. I don't give anybody credit for that. Just me and I go and look in the mirror after every fourth quarter and I go, ‘Man, you coached Steph really well tonight.'
