That's a long wait for the Final Four.

FWIW I am hearing the Texans and Bears have talked about a Martellus Bennett trade with CJ Fiedorowicz and Akeem Hunt going to Chicago.

    Honestly no idea.

I am in Chicago a whole lot and do some legal work for someone that is involved with the Bears. He said that New Orleans were interested but went another direction and that Pace has spoken to Smith a few times about Bennett. He also said that Bennett isn't ideal because he is slow, that the Texans ideally want a receiver with speed but an offer is on the table for Bennett from the Texans. I would assume it doesn't involve good picks if it would be a compromise deal from the Texans.... Bears are still talking to Packers and other teams about Bennett trying to get interest.

Thanks for passing on the info. Heard on Twitter Giants and Bears had discussions too but didn't go too far

This move barring a big FA signing forces the Texans too use two picks at TE.

I'd rather sign AJ80 and draft a WR in the 1st rd

player for player trades rarely go down so it's interesting to say the least.

If true, yeah it would be. It doesn't sound like a real trade though.

I would hate that trade. I love Akeem Hunt as a player who is virtually free right now on the roster. He is an awesome weapon to get 5 carries a game.

Not convinced Martellus Bennett is a difference maker at all for this team in any serious way. He's not a game breaker and he has frequent attitude issues.

Normally that's true but there were actually a few last year and I think we even traded a linebacker for a lineman or something. So its not that uncommon

Even though he had stone hands, he was the only WR outside of Hopkins who could get open

It was baffling how bad he had the dropsies. Dude flat out got open consistently. He had multiple deep routes where he had his man beat and Hoyer hit him dead on the hands in stride and he just dropped it.
