I give younger Houston fans a ton of credit. There are some great fans of all the teams here, and they haven't been given much back by the franchises. I complain about them some, but at least I got to see 2 titles.
confused with reality? this team sucks and i pay $$$ to see this that's the reality. i can whine all i want. i bet i spent more money watching this team than you.
i agree but to get as far as they did last year means they shouldn't be this bad. or maybe it was just luck.
gotta love these folks that are defending this team. same people that will be b****ing after we get swept by either the spurs or warriors. i'll eat crow anyday watching my team reach the semis again.
those two titles. nothing like it. best sports time in my life even though i was a young teen i enjoyed watching those teams.
The irony in the argument that JVG teams and Adelman teams had "hustle" is that today's Rockets team, for the most part, went further in the play-offs than all of those teams.
Yeah, last season is starting to look like it was all Harden and Luck. Seems we still have Harden on ourside but no luck.
I feel bad for those people born in 1996 and died before year 2099, when the Rockets finally won another title.
Need that luck, man. There isn't one champ that didn't get some good luck. It's professional and competitive sports. Luck plays a nice sized role.
The problem is that younger generation is poisoned by the NBA Cliff notes. I'm happy that they finally put out that Clutch City Documentary. It's still hard for them to fathom how great Hakeem was. A dude who played offense and defense at the highest level and did not care about social media or partying. The whole irony about this generation and ours is that rap music back then was significantly better. But it's this generation that wants to be hanging out with the rappers like Drake. Oh, the uniforms were significantly better looking too.
Rocket for life, in spite of the disappointment. However, 93 - 95 on Richmond between Chimney Rock and Hillcroft was banana's and will always live in my greatest memories of Houston. Also getting to party with Kenny, Vmax, Elie, and Dream was awesome.
As of right now with this ****ty team, I would rather them not make the playoffs and have them watch some real teams play. And I'm glad I was able to see the championships live along with the almost championship back in '86. **** OJ and NBC.
damn that was fun. people stopping on the freeways. honking everywhere. 2 have back 2 back championships was so big. even the spurs couldn't do that.
