Savior Paula wasn't wrong: "You are not the good guys." She was absolutely correct not to trust The Governor, er Rick. They were right outside waiting to ambush them.
So Carol is now having a nervous breakdown and is a fragile petal. Smh these writers are all over the place.
I think what they were going for is that Maggie being pregnant has discombobulated Carol with PTSD about her daughter. We were supposed to believe Carol was faking her freak out, but she largely wasn't.
has rick really turned bad? to quote one of our greatest poets of our generation, Dark Man X, "Thou shall not kill! But what if he's trying to kill me?" Negan's people on the show have proven to kill and steal or as they see it, survival. another solid episode.
I'm afraid they are setting Carol up for Negan. I don't get the "We are all Negan." Why would anyone in his camp speak like that? -- slight comic spoiler Spoiler I get that they are all "bad", but I don't recall in the comic his people being that loyal to him. It was more of a fear of him thing. Am I missing or forgetting somethng?
That's what I kept telling the wife, I was sure she was gonna strangle all the annoying face chick with the rosary once her guard was down. I was sure it was all an act.
The freakout beforehand was with the hyperventilating was fake but her trepidation later on was real, she's beginning to have second thoughts about all the killing......
Lol Carol was playing the victim role and using Maggie to perhaps have even get one of them to sympathize with her. Carol is a badass. No doubt she was in control the whole time. But agreed that what she's afraid of is what she's going to become if she continues this badass path.
Is it fair to say that this half of the season has been the strongest it's ever been? Every episode has been perfect
i thought she was faking and i was applauding her strategy, but when she spilled the beans about daryl blowing up the other saviors w/ a bazooka i knew she was actually not faking. no person thinking rationally or strategically would have told them that...what a moran!
She ended up killing them all anyway, but she was trying to get the Redhead to escape, so you're right. Carol is starting to lose it, and I can see them killing her off. Awesome episode though
Carol is absolutely losing it. Telling Paula to "run away" and then walking close enough to have her gun knocked away and engage in a fatal pushing contest. Obviously Morgan is to blame for making her feel bad about killing people. Some serious changes in the last few weeks. Reverend is killing now; Glenn hesitated stabbing the guy in his sleep until he looked at Polaroids; Maggie wasn't leaving until all the Saviors were dead; Rick making good decisions and not getting people killed... just kidding.
My prediction - Spoiler I'm aware what Negan does to introduce himself in the comics but I think it will be a bit different. I thnk the group continues to push their limits more and more morally these next 2 weeks, leading up to the meeting with Negan where he will end someone... my prediction is Carol. This makes the group reevaluate their humanity or lack there of and find a spot somewhere between Negan and Morgan.
They're setting up so many characters to potentially get killed off, it makes me wonder if the writers will pull something surprising and have somebody like Daryl die instead. We've already seen a bit of a death arc for Glenn and now Carol, and they're still here. To go and take Daryl out with no warning would be a huge shock. But yeah, this second half of the season has been pretty stellar.
great episode. I didn't mind Carol's issue. She clearly still fought through it and did what she had to do. She burned people alive AFTER having her breakdown...so yeah, I don't think they had her go too far. Not a big deal for a character to question what they're doing when they're killing people. I thought Paula and Carol both delivered a great episode. Showed really complex characters.
