Can't get mad at him. Chase is getting 7 mil and Bradford is getting 18. 13 million is about half-way. The jets need to make it happen. Both will suffer if they don't get it done.

I re-watched the Broncos-Chargers game where Osweiler was replaced by Manning and have to say that it was odd timing. It's true, the Broncos had 4 turnovers for the game up to that point, but a majority were not even Osweiler's fault. There was one play where it was his fault by not reading the blitz where one Charger player sacked him virtually untouched which led to Osweiler fumbling the ball. The final straw for Osweiler was C.J. Anderson fumbling the ball. Yes, C.J dropping the ball ended up costing Osweiler his starting job, and it kinda looks like it was a "Gosh, I gotta do something. Alright, you're back in, Peyton" decision from Kubiak more than anything.

The big differences I did see with Manning back in the game was the snap count and picking up blitzes. Peyton caused Chargers' players to jump the gun for penalties and giving CJ some breathing room with reading the opposing defense. Other than that, Manning didn't do anything spectacular except just handing the ball to C.J.

    Just my two cents.

Interview Dennis Erickson on Brock being a Texan:

]We have Dennis Erickson ,Brock Osweiler’s College Coach, on ‘In The Loop’. Coach Erickson talk about recruiting Brock for Arizona State University. He said that Brock hasn’t come close to reaching his potential as a QB. He gives a quick scouting report on Broack.

Apparently Kubes pulled Brock aside @ halftime of that game & told him that he needed to pull the team together or he was gonna put Manning back in. I agree that Brock didnt really deserve to get benched in that game. He wasnt playing horribly. Like you said...MAYBE one of those turn-overs was his fault...it was more on his teammates IMO. I think getting ready to roll into the playoffs Kubes just wanted/valued the experience Manning had to offer & Peyton was finally healthy enough to play again.

Thats why Brock got benched when he did. And Im really glad he did because that one moment in his career as a Bronco is why he is now a Texan. If Kubes never pulls Brock for Peyton in week 17, Brock is still a Bronco. Dont be fooled, Denver very much wanted to keep Brock. They know he is gonna be a damn good QB & they are salty that they lost him. Would they have still won a Super Bowl if they never pulled Brock in favor of Manning in week 17? Mabye. Considering the run that defense went on through the playoffs...probably. But they did win the Super Bowl with Manning, so you cant really
argue that Kubes made the wrong decision.

This is hypothetical and may sound silly, but it wouldn't surprise if the turnovers in that game served as an omen for Kubiak. He was losing the game but won the game after Manning went back in. "This is a sign to continue that I should continue with Manning". I know that sounds silly, but Kubiak would never hear the end from Broncos' fans if his team got eliminated with Manning on the bench. If I were him, I'd sleep better at night knowing I either won/lost a play-off game with Peyton Manning as my quarterback. It's not to say he wasn't confident with Osweiler, but I could definitely understand his thought process.

I heard someone say the other day that the guy that runs Pappa Johns is named John Natter. He's Pappa John Natter. Somehow that tickled me to no end and now I refer to him as Pappa John Natter at all times.

So it looks like the starting QBs in the AFC South are:

    Colts--Luck
    Jaguars-Bortles
    Titans--Mariota
    Texans-Osweiler

In the next 1-3 years...how will these QBs shake out? Can anyone of them overtake Luck? (probably not). How do you think Osweiler compare to Bortles & Mariota? I'm hoping for:

    1A) Luck
    1B) Osweiler
    3) Mariota
    4) Bortles

Texans D >>> Colts D = AFC Championships for the next 4 years?

true. The next 3-4 years should be an interesting time in the AFC South. Of course injuries could derail everything but it would appear, for the first time in a long time, that all teams have solid options (Read: long-term) at QB. Granted, Osweiler at this point may be the biggest crapshoot and Texans could be looking elsewhere in 2 years but the team is clearly invested in him and believe he can be the guy as do the other teams in the AFC South believe in their QBs, so the future certainly looks more competitive.

It wasn't that long ago when Gabbert, Locker/Mettenberger, and a shell-shocked Schaub/Yates/Fitzy were rounding out the rest of the division. Best QB bragging rights could go almost in any direction.
