ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Hornets 3/12/2016

JB is a moron. That's why he needs to go. It was so clear that they could not guard Dmo or Dwight down low, but instead of exploiting it he goes away from it for the rest of the game.

 

I really don't blame any players for today's loss against a very hot Hornets Team. Sure, Harden had a off night, but Jesus, putting incredible numbers all season long, can't blame him for being tired. And the rest of the guys, not playing great, but till the 4th quarter, we were close.

 

Beverley bricked 3pt shots all game!...What if Goudelock had those shots! Stupid coaching lost us this game!

Bev and Harden played like doodoo. Dwight talks to much. IMO Beasley was the only bright spot for me this game.


Oh and Charlotte has some very gorgeous women my god. Definitely need to visit here more often.

 

I am surprised that even you will say Harden played bad tonight, obviously you are just like another LOF who likes to read box score.

Agreed, and it Jimmy Butler and Kemba Walker both went insane in those 2 losses.


Beasley coming on strong, hopefully Gawdlock will too and we can get some rest during the home stretch.

Players no longer get frustrated, they just go by him now

 

There are players that actually play both sides court with heavy minutes who have more stamina.

If you ever played ball, you would know trying on defense expends more energy than offense. I'm tired of the 'Harden is too tired' from carrying this team argument. Half the time he is on the court he literally just lolly gaggles playing his pseudo-zone D attempting to move as little as possible. There are plenty of players in the NBA who expend more calories per game in this league.

Harden did not play well tonight. Is that controversial or something?

 

Harden's defense was actually not that bad tonight, especially on fast breaks

 

This, Rockets management is lazy they want the big name easy way out. Meanwhile we gave away a bunch of shooters and sometimes thats all Harden needs around him, just people who can shoot. It would be nice to have other creators too.

 

This Charlotte team is fun to watch. Can't wait to watch them in the playoffs.

This is the type of game you can expect when playing on the back end of a back2back and 3rd game in 4 nights. The team mostly looked sluggish.

The frustrating part is the rotation and lack of coaching. I feel like the majority of this team has given up on this year because there is no leadership. If Harden isn't going to step up and be the leader, then the coach HAS to do it. JB isn't the guy for this role. He isn't a leader and he isn't an X an O guy. You have to be one or the other to be a great coach. I feel like he is too much of a buddy buddy to the players.

We need to go all out for Durant and Thibs this summer. It's our saving grace.

 

Yeah, whoop de freaking do, dude was 2-14 shooting the damn ball and had almost no impact the entire game other than the whoever he was guarding was lighting him up. Must be hard carrying his team to a .500 record with no major injuries all season, he and the Rockets have been a massive disappointment this season.

He was great last season, but this season he's been a turnstile on defense and his shooting has been super inconsistent, and he's leading the league in TO's.

 

Remember last year when we were a top defensive team because we led in D against the 3? And we took a ton of 3s and made a good amount of them? So now we're the worst at D against the 3 and we still take a million 3s but now we make none. JBB was the defensive coach then and now. Finch was the offense guy then and now. Same personnell shooting and defending 3s so what gives?

 

Harden's play is like DMo's.

They do invisible winning stuff that the rest of the team screws up.

It's clear that:
- D-Mo is not going to play many minutes for the rest of this year
- Beasley will make an impact, good or bad
- KJ should not get many minutes
- Jet should get minutes, but needs to keep it cool
- Beverley is going to have games like this, but no reason to thrash him because he works hard and we wouldn't win games like yesterday without his effort. He's our best 3pt shooter, think about that. Defensively, everybody sucks this year so..
- Brewer is back
- Howard & Harden are just not going to cut it for our future
- Harrell deserves minutes
- Capela is starting to look very well again
- Josh needs to be ready soon

 

Don't forget the pointing.

The pointing by Harden while he's walking around is exhausting.

 

Our entire switch philosophy on defense has enabled a bunch of lazy a$$ players on our team. Our guys dont fight through screens...and after showing, they fail to quickly rotate back on their original guy...The ROCKETS have failed as a defense...Its ok if these pathetic clowns make the playoffs...they will get annihilated by the Warriors in 4 games...

 

Really poor showing from Harden - can't expect to win if he scores 12 on 2 FGs. Transition defense and closing out on 3s killed us to start the 4th, and again a terrible start to the game.

I REALLY like the Harden/JET/Ariza/Brew or Beas/Howard or Capela lineup. Decent defense with, at times, great offense.
