I don't take you serious because you are inferring that someone elected in this country is going to recreate a genocide.

    Not a very educated guess.

Thinking that an elected leader can't lead a country into disaster is foolish. The French thought that when they "elected" Napoleon, the Germans thought that when they elected Hitler, the Italians thought that when they elected Mussolini. Elected leaders have done all sorts of awful things and it's naive to think that it can't happen in the US or that it can't happen again. There's been a ridiculously long history of it happening time and time again.

Yup after Trump called him a child molester and a pathological liar, just evidence that even politicians who sell themselves as "outsiders" are prone to selling out.

America isn't some infallible country. It's nothing compared to other great nations throughout history that were hit by hard times or just don't exist any more.

While I agree with you, Trump isn't in this to create genocide...but the things he's said about Muslims are terrifying, down to marking them some kind of way.

    It's not naive.

You keep bringing up ridiculous examples.

Once you remember that the USA isn't a dictatorship you might make more sense.

Why did this happen in Chicago? Why of all places?

There are lots of people out there suggesting that Trump is Hitler 2.0 and stereotyping his supporters as nothing but dangerous racist idiots who need to be stopped at all costs. Those are obviously ridiculous statements, but they have resonated with a lot of people and they are voicing it everywhere they can. Those people (there are some here) are fanning the flames as much as anyone. Stereotyping and demonizing an entire group of people while playing the Nazi card is a really bizarre stance, in my opinion. The rhetoric has got to be dialed back to a reasonable level. It's been at an 11 for a decade+. I think it's at a 12 now.

Jay, I'm not a Trump supporter. The things he says are awful. Agreed.

But when I see stupid, aka implying genocide. I'm going to call you out.

Where do people come up with this crap?

If Hillary Clinton was the odds on favorite to become the next Potus, those odds will only increase in the coming days in the event of more violence associated with the Trump campaign, no matter which side the violence emanates from. The imagery on TV is very damaging to his campaign and to a certain extent, the GOP brand.

This could be a turning point in this election cycle, primaries and general.

    Protesters of Chicago. Typical.

    They deserve all the blame.

There are no two nations ever exactly alike, but the point is this. There have been more powerful and longer lasting nations/empires to fall. To think that America is incapable of electing some wacko that ruins the country completely is a bit foolish. More foolish than calling Trump the next Hitler because it assumes invincibility of some kind. Like we've created the perfect government and even if you have it doesn't stop some demagogue from riling up the masses to destroy said government.

Still don't understand why anyone would complain about wages/jobs without mentioning illegal immigration and legal immigration.

But one of them is nothing when compared to others. Bold take. Your others posts make sense to me now. Waiting for B-Bob to assess your patriotism.
