It was a bad matchup for DMo tonight, the Pistons are a super small, athletic team. Going small is how you respond to that and they did.
The questions should be, why are all of our Power forwards playing so badly? Is it the system or maybe they just don't fit? This suppose to be the year that both Dmo and Jones to become what we all wanted at that position. Oh well both will be gone this off season. I'm just hoping come playoffs time either one would give us a lift.
Man come on, it should also work in our favor too. Especially since Dmo post game is top notch. Use our strength against them. Dmo could have easily recorded a double double against this horrible team who is very bad defensively.
118 pts. Don't really think they were missing that post game much. The bad matchup comes on the other side of the ball.
Posting up DMo only works when he gets the ball in the post. They decided not to do that so it was best to go small. Anyway enjoy the trolling.
Love DmO but Beasly is the superior talent right now. Beasly should get all powerfowarard minutes. Him and harrel
I know big homie. I'm just saying we could have easily used our height against them too. Bobbythegreat is coming up with an excuse to why he played so bad tonight.
Man please how am I trolling. All I'm saying is if DMo would have been on his game, we could have used his height against the 76ers small lune up. It works both ways and you know this.
I wish we still had Detroit's 1st rounder. SVG and Morey for that matter made the correct decision on this guy in my opinion. Unfortunate for our organization.
Way too early for this. We all know what he can do in the post when he gets the ball in the post consistently. I don't think anyone can make a far evaluation until seeing how he performs in the playoffs when the game slows down. I think even JBB will be smart to utilize him by then.
If he isn't playing his way into earning consistent minutes during the regular season, there is absolutely no way JBB is going to suddenly reward him with more playing time in the playoffs when the stakes are highest. If he isn't playing upwards of 25 minutes per game soon, I'd venture to say he won't be much of a factor in the playoffs. I think JBB's inconsistent rotations and minutes have negatively effected the power forwards on this team. In a pinch, he goes small.
Post him up. Nuff said... It's like not letting Steph Curry shoot 3s. We do not use ANYONE other than Harden properly...
well if you don't get consistent contribution if even any, it's no wonder the pf's on this team is the mess it is.
DMo plays better as a Center. Infact his best role for this team was to back up Dwight along side Josh Smith at the 4. Capela should be a emergency back up to Dwight and Donatas for the rest of the season. What I'd like for our 10 man rotation to be is... Dwight Beasley Ariza Harden Beverley DMo Smith Brewer KJ McDaniels Terry 3rd stringers: Capela, Harrell, Dekker, Jones, Goudelock
I do not know what is sadder.... the fact that people spend time cluttering up bandwidth with 300 or 400 pages in threads about mediocre players and talents like Jeremy Lin or Donatas Motiejunas who will probably never account to a player like Karl Anthony Towns or Kristaps Porzingis or the fact that our PF position has been so bad that an injured player of half a season is considered the best PF at his position wtf
I'm not sure if you're saying that JBB doesn't play the power forwards consistently because they aren't playing well or that they aren't playing well because they don't play consistently. What came first, the chicken or the egg so to speak. I may be in the minority here, but I believe that it's more of the latter. They may have stretches of poor play, but they haven't been allowed to play through it and find their groove and establish a comfort level. Even when they play well, they often get subbed out and never see the floor again in favor of small ball. Both Jones and D Mo, like most players need consistent minutes and a defined role to be successful. Same thing with Ty Lawson. Smith is either injured or over the hill altogether.
I think you can make an argument that PF's look better than they actually are in our system. There are not many teams any of our PF's would start for.
