I live in alabama so i just go outside and listen to my neighbors. If they're yelling ROLL TIDE that means Donald Drumpf is winning and if they're yelling ROLL TIDE that means that Zodiac Ted is is winning. That's how i know who's winning.

Little Marco is more done than a badly overcooked steak.

Holy chit, how dumb the GOP establishment must feel like with all their support to a guy who is pretty much crashing.

Let's not forget good ole Mitt Romney's help. Just pathetic. lol

Only after Lindsey Graham commits seppuku on the Senate floor instead of seeing a Trump vs. Cruz showdown.

Actually, I think you have it backwards. I think its Marco Rubio that feels dumb for attacking Trump and allowing himself to be branded "establishment". I also think maybe the absolute worst thing the establishment did was let Mitt Romney come out and bash Trump like he did. It completely backfired. Voters generally don't like to be told what to do. Hell, I'm a Rubio supporter and thought this was a bad move.

For better or worse, it's Trump. Get ready for the wildest, weirdest, saddest presidential election in our country's history. I predict when it's all over, no matter if it's Trump or Clinton our country and all citizens will be diminished. :(

I'm getting used to the reality of a President Trump. I think he'd be at least as damaging and embarrassing to the US as Berlusconi was to Italy, but he might be the leader we deserve.

Rubio has been done for a long time. But I think his attacks on Trump hurt Trump as well as hurting Rubio. It was the best possible situation for Cruz. If Cruz were lucky Rubio would stay in the race and keep hurting himself and Trump both. Rubio isn't really a threat to win, and as long as he can make Trump look bad, it helps Cruz.

The problem though is that the US is far larger, more powerful and more important than Italy. This is why even with the separation of powers the Presidency can still do a lot and the damage from someone like Trump could be great to not only our country but also to the rest of the World.

You're right though if Trump wins we deserve it. One of the downsides with democracy is that for good or ill the candidate who wins does represent the will of the people.

I think after Obama won as a first term Senator Rubio felt he could do the same and that he might not get a better chance. Like much of the party he was blindsided by Trump but felt he had no choice to go all in and go to Trump's level.

I wonder if Rubio has pretty much ruined his own political future with his campaign. In some ways I see him ending up like Dan Quayle. Originally a promising GOP rising star with a bright future who instead ended up being the butt of jokes.

We were attacked under Bush. He dove us head first into a senseless war that cost trillions and many young american lives. He started to spy on all of us. Obama continued the war and increased the spying. Obama gave us the TPP which was written by Big Pharma, Hollywood, and other Corporate elites in secret. It will cost Americans millions of jobs just as other trade agreements have historically. It will be a huge human rights disaster as many countries in the agreement have terrible labor rights history.

Only NOW you're afraid?!?!?! Put against these shadowy corrupt monsters, Trump is harmless.

It is entirely possible. I think his way out of it is to hope people's memories aren't that long.

But the best thing he could do would be to step up and do something different. He would have to become outspoken in some new direction he's never gone before. If all of a sudden he came out and said that the congress was broken because of obstructionism and all the great conservative ideas they could have passed because Obama was willing to compromise were lost because the obstructionists won out. He can't back down when folks call him a capitulator. And just point out all of the different conservative things they could have done, had it not been for obstruction. Say because of obstruction we are a less conservative nation today than we could be. Stick to it, and accuse those who don't want to get work done of selling out conservatism. He would need to show he's more of a leader from what he's learned.

Or he could take a stand even more right wing than folks like Cruz are now, but that ground already has a lot of occupants, and a lower ceiling. But it would show that he learned from his failures and is more of a leader.

Rubio will have to completely remake his public image and change into something else. The "everything to everybody" angle failed miserably.

Obama supports and defends Black Lives Matters. Their slogan literally means if you're not black you don't matter. That's actually offending to way more people than Trumps comments against illegal immigrants and specifically illegal immigrants with criminal backgrounds.

Forget drone strikes, Obama is now spying on you domestically with drones. Doesn't that make you warm and fuzzy. They're just waiting for us to get used to them so they can implement phase 2 which is armed drones. But still only afraid of Trump huh...

Hmm... one one hand you express concern about the appearance of racism. And on the other hand you say "(Black Lives Matter) Their slogan literally means if you're not black you don't matter."

Yes, because I am not a single issue crackpot.

If I were President I would aspire to the same pragmatic approach Obama has.

    Not ludicrous incoherence of Trumpsm.

Rubio is young. Eight years from now, he'll have a lot more experience in the senate. He can potentially fill out his resume with a cabinet position or a governorship. In 8 years, he won't look at all like the candidate he is today. I think he can try again. Same for Cruz, actually, except he'll probably still be a dick 8 years from now.

Conspiracy theory abounds with this one. Is this what motivates the Trump voter? A suspicion that Obama is fomenting a race war while implementing a weaponized drone surveillance network over the citizenry? If this is all true, there is no way Obama will calmly step aside and hand his drones and other tools of totalitarianism over to Donald Trump. Why vote if Obama is just going to have a coup and name himself emperor anyway?
