UPSIDE of Allen + Miller is certainly higher than just Brooks. Allen last year was close to Brooks, and Miller is a very talented back.

I just seriously question Allen against elite defenses.

there's no way to criticize this move given the void we've had at QB for 5 years. doesn't matter what you think of brock or what he's getting paid, this was absolutely a move this team had to make. there is no way they could have gone into the season with hoyer and savage or a rookie QB, regardless of who it was. this team needed to address the QB position TODAY and they did.

at first i was skeptical on osweiler, but after thinking about it- I like this move

The broncos actually offered him 30 Million guaranteed- they were sold on him- we just outbid them, and i think Osweiler really wanted no part of Kubiaks system

 

So were the Broncos just trying to drive the price up or were they really trying to bargain Brock's price up? It's very possible the agent kept leaking that the Broncos were negotiating just to jack the price up.

Allen is his replacement. Draft will just get us even more studs that we didn't even have prior to today. Ben Jones was trash.

At first I wasn't for this. Not saying I won't go crazy if he fails for 6 weeks straight but I like the fact they had balls to make some moves. Texans never like to shuffle around pieces and take risks.

 

Giving an "average" QB top 10 guaranteed money is not "doing well".

 

If elway really believed Osweiler was a true franchise qb, he would've done anything to keep him.

At the end of the day, I trust elway more than BO'B who proven to be TERRIBLE at evaluating talent.
