I'm getting pessimistic actually. They were trying to close it down yesterday and it didn't get done. That makes me think more dollars have entered the bidding somewhere.

Probably so after he saw Ivorys 5 year deal. I just feel we shouldn't have all chips on Brock and forget about Miller. This offense needs weapons.

Doubt they were ever in but one less potential option

Drop down to RG3 and Fitzpatrick and it drops down even more steeply after that.

I wonder if Texans even have a plan B if Free Agency fails. Meaning Brock stays and Miller decides on Dallas.

Rick Smith drafting 2 good starters is like winning the powerball.

If O'Brien truly believes Osweiler can be the guy going forward then I would give him the Sam Bradford contract. Make Denver pay up for him.

If Brock's agent is smart. He wants more years. Bradford already got his big contract.

Can't lie this is interesting with how things are going. At least we can't say that the Texans didn't try.

Im glad we didnt resign Jones. I did not think he was a good center, at all.

Brooks, on the other hand, we HAVE to resign. He would be a huge loss.

[rquoter]The Houston Texans have been the Broncos biggest competition in bringing Osweiler back, but sources say they're cooling somewhat on the four-year veteran, which has given rise to renewed negotiations with John Elway.

Free ageny officially opens at 2 p.m. today and the Broncos want to get a new deal inked with Osweiler before then. Our sources say that guaranteed money has been an issue in negotiations.

But, Elway will have to increase his offer in order to secure Osweiler for the future. NFL teams are only as good as their starting quarterback. The Broncos need Osweiler back, despite their posturing in the media that they're "high" on Trevor Siemian, last year's seventh round pick.

Osweiler is still smarting over being benched in Week 17, after his offense turned the ball over a whopping five times. Emotions can play a big role in negotiations.

From what we're hearing, things are speeding up. Osweiler is back to the negotiating table with Elway and based on the wiley old GM's track record, we expect a deal to get done today.

It's the opposite. NFL contracts are all about the guaranteed money and that's it. Years mean nothing.

Usually, more years = more guaranteed money. Why get a 2 year 36 million with 26 million guaranteed when you could get a 4 year 64 million with 50 guaranteed. It's less money per year but because it is more years, the guaranteed money goes up.
