To be honest, Sanders supporters just want some free #$@t... I can understand that. The rest of us don't want to pay for their free $#!t.
Yeah...but you're a pro Obama Trump supporter so it's not surprising that you'd say things directly contrary to what the polls say and directly contrary to common sense. Look at the Real Clear Politics averages, the ONLY Republican that loses to Clinton is Trump....which is why Democrats would want Trump to win the Republican nomination. Literally any other Republican likely beats her. Now sure, Cruz wouldn't have an easy time beating Clinton, but he could do it, Rubio or Kasich would have a pretty easy time beating Hillary. Maybe Kasich could struggle due to the "kitchen" comments from earlier, but Hillary is such a bad candidate that I think he still pulls it off.
Very true, now explain that to Bernie supporters. When people say "free ****" they are mocking those who think that programs such as those Bernie is selling can be had without catastrophic repercussions. The government is already spending itself into bankruptcy, adding trillions to that deficit every single year would just hasten the demise. Of course, when you call them on that, they'll just say that they can get the money via taxing the top 1%.....and then in the next breath they'll whine about how the top 1% are taking jobs out of the country.
Government services aren't restricted depending on who paid what in federal income tax. This is a fantastical distinction you've created out of thin air to push your own class warfare.
We've had much higher tax rates on the wealthy without catastrophic repurcussions. This is a red herring. The fact is people have spent decades getting filthy rich due to pro big business policies and trade deals as well as ridiculous Republican trickle down tax policy. The Reagan era of greed is good has created a nouveau riche class of greedy super rich douchebags with their freaking McMansions. It has destroyed the middle class in the process and that has had catastrophic repercussions..
Sanders represents a break from the currently corrupted political system. I am a Sanders supporter and I would not benefit at all from: 1.) Free college - I have already graduated and loans paid off. 2.) Paid Maternity leave - I am not a woman 3.) Healthcare - My job already covers most of my healthcare costs. I would end up paying more in taxes than I current do, probably pay less of a deductable and have better bridges and roads. Hardly "free ****" More than anything, Sanders is the most decent human being among all the candidates.
I agree. Raising your hand in pledge is very customary here and we don't ever think about Nazis when we do it. It's just funny optics and bad timing right after comparisons of Trump to Hitler. I don't take it very seriously that people are raising their hands to pledge at Trump rallies. I do find it a little odd though that Trump is asking people to pledge their allegiance to him, not the flag or the country or even the party. The pledge goes: "I do solemnly swear ... that I, no matter how I feel, no matter what the conditions, will vote on or before the 12th for Donald J. Trump for president." It makes sense in that research has shown that when people make promises like this out loud they are more likely to follow through. When volunteers canvas for votes, they ask something like this -- will you vote for John Doe on the 4th? And when they come back, they remind you that you said you would. Trump is doing the same thing at a rally. Calling it a 'pledge' and a 'swearing' makes me uncomfortable, though it probably resonates well with Trump voters -- maybe they even polled to get the right language.
Do you currently send in more taxes than you owe? I imagine you don't. Why is this? The bigger government you support would gladly take your extra donation. Perhaps they might even spend it on things you want it to. Of course, based on its past performance, you never know.
Not even remotely similar. Agreed. Reminds me of Ron Paul supporters although not quite as delusional.
Can you imagine a worse job than being Trump's VP? "Hey, Marco? Yeah, time to clean the ashtrays over here. You also need to score me some blow. Use only cash you've touched with your own hands from your own bank accounts, okay? Nice.... What? No, no public appearances for you this week."
Looking at southern counties of Michigan. Trump territory. Does that bleed over to Ohio? Something to watch.
Looks to me like Trump does the worst in the southern counties of Mich vs rest of Mich. Maybe you're looking at it the wrong way. Kasich had a good showing in Michigan, because Ohio bleeds into it. Kasich will win Ohio.
Trump got all southern border counties except 1. Does Kasich become nominee in brokered convention? He would be smartest pick to bring home W.
Rocketslegend, if you could post a larger version of that pic, it would help us understand why you always to ill of the media.
