We were paying Arian foster 7-8 M (and he didnt play for almost 2 seasons) whats the deal with paying a RB 6.5 Million that is atleast healthy enough to play. Lets enjoy the spending that we haven't done in a while (i hope they go for Benjamin or rishard Mathews at WR ) as well
I don't want either of those guys, Mathews can't consistently create separation and Benjamin is a glorified return man. Once teams got wind of his speed he was shut down
He was also going against safety help pretty consistently because the Browns didn't have enough weapons around him.
Basically just said he rather use the draft for other things than RB and overpay a RB. (6.5M a year) Wouldn't be surprised if Lamar signs tomorrow at 3:01 PM in Houston Forte isn't gaining interest because he's asking for too much money and his injuries and age; mentions Ahman Green RB Order preference: Miller, Martin, Ivory. Defintely trying to get Osweiler; BOB loves him but doesn't think he will be in Houston, wants to be paid like Sam Bradford. Denver has more money to offer since Malik Jackson and Danny Trevathan is gone RG3: no interest in him. Lives in Houston and works out here every year except for last year when he was in Washington. Would love for him to go to Dallas. Have done a good job coaching mediocre QB's; Peter King says Elway thinks Osweiler will be a star
The problem is who is doing the QB analysis. Do you trust BOB to know who will be a star and who will be the starter for the worst QB performance in NFL playoff history?
Broncos will keep him. They just cut a bunch of a players to give them some breathing room and cap space. I think the Texans will be forced to move on...to Tom Savage, your Texans starting QB! (Shudder)
Yes; he coaxed career-best performances out of Fitzpatrick and Hoyer (minus the playoff game) and won games with TJ Yates and Bradon Weeden starting. He can coach.
I didn't ask if he could coach, I asked if he was good at determining QB talent. So far the best QB he's coached is Yates because everyone he's targeted has either been pretty terrible. I don't think anyone doubts his ability to get the most out of absolutely terrible QB's, but he hasn't shown ANY ability to pick a QB that is actually talented or good at being a QB.

We honestly don't know. He's not picking Fitzpatrick, Mallett and Hoyer at the expense of decidedly better QBs. I think the one legitimate gripe is his passing on Carr - but a) that has a hint of hindsight to it; b) his hands may have been tied on that one.
I disagree. There were literally dozens of options better than Hoyer but that's the guy he wanted to go with. His judgement has been atrocious when it comes to QB's thus far so I see no reason to trust him going forward. Sure he could turn it around by finally being right about a QB, but he's picked nothing but losers so far.
They did a lot of smart against the Texans. Plus they just restructured to get a lot of cap space. They're hosting Mario and just acquired two players from the Eagles. They saw Miller up close and personal and chose not to even try to pay him.
