I don't know why you guys go 'Yikes' over starting Savage, honestly we haven't seen enough of him to have an opinion, but BOB has. He has the size, he has the arm, it's the reads and anticipation that we don't have a clue about. He has had a lot of training time in the offense. I'd still bid on Osweiler no matter though..... how do you think that goes, one phone call Sexton ""Texans are at 13.5 for 3", Bronco's " OK we'll go 13,750, Sexton "let me get back to you"...
If a Miller deal comes in at $6.5MM, Texans would essentially be swapping out Foster for Miller (for 2016 at least). The waiving of Foster saved the Texans just under $6.5MM.

Why do you think B'Ob should be trusted after last year's QB turnstile and the last 2 years of QB? I'm not in love with Brock, but I'd be shocked if Tom Savage is the Texans "QB of the future"...
$6.5M is a tad high for a non-franchise 'bell-cow' RB. Will he get most of the carries? Yes. But you read McClain, Blue (and maybe another?) will still be getting carries. Would be top 9 in average/year here. But Lynch retired, Foster released, Forte a FA & DeMarco may have restructured his deal. They (NFL twitter) just said Doug Martin may get $7M+.

They drafted a replacement in Ajayi(sp?) and they would love to have him back, they have no cap space to bring him back
With the higher salary cap, everyone will have to adjust for inflation. We have already seen it with some of the other offers floating around. That does put him in the 10 highest paid RBs but if we are swapping out Foster for Miller at the same price, I think that it could be a decent trade off.
Interesting..... He's had some major flashes....and Miami just looks like they are not willing to pay up for him, versus "not wanting" him.
Yea I don't love that price but if it was 4 million a year everyone would be fine with it...so really we're looking at 2.5 million a year difference that people are gonna go bonkers over not a big deal nowadays with the increased cap/FA market. Our team has a lot of holes and plenty of cap room so I'm all for them plugging as many of them as possible now before the draft hits.
Is this right? 2014 vs. Houston? 8 attempts 50 yards 1 TD | 6.25 y/a O'Brien thought he went off? Well, I'm not sure I want to know what he thought Miller did or went for. 14 attempts 175 yards 1 TD | 12.50 y/a 3 receptions | 61 yards | 1 TD
I'm all for paying for talent but not overpaying as a bad GM usually does. Smith is like Elaine at the auction on Seinfeld.
Especially at the offensive skill positions, which always seem to be ignored in free agency or just plugged with band-aids (Washington, Shorts, Polk).
