Yeah but when Peyton Manning had a neck problem and was old that was an excuse, when Drew Brees was injured in San Diego, deemed injury prone and too short it was a issue and this RG3 situation is a good cheap situation that's low risk and it is the same bs from the Texans.

much rather give rg3 a low risk contract, than to pay Oswilder what he wants.

To use RGIII's name in the same sentence as Brees and Manning is just wrong.

malllet, Fitzpatrick, Hoyer, Tj Yates, Weeden, Bj Daniels???? I guess they dont have any serious problems reading the field, accuracy, taking sacks,....

RG3 took the Redskins to the playoff his rookie year (when he was not hurt)
He has potential unlike all the QB's that have step in for the Texans.

At this point it is. But that's the point... at this point is where the Texans never take the big risk. Drew was not what he is now coming out of San Diego. Manning has been Manning which is just embarrassing for the Texans. The situation is similiar. To compare RG3 to any past qb Houston has put out there is just as wrong.

And then he lost the job to Kirk Cousins and Colt McCoy.

That rookie season was in 2012. 4 years ago. Vick was still the starting QB for the eagles then. Maybe the Texans should go after him too.

    There's a reason he's a free agent.

I'm not against them going after him but let's not act like he's a lock to be anything but the disappointment he's been so far. Any team signing RG3 to be a starter is taking a chance.

It's time for this franchise to take a chance though.
Been too passive for far too long.

If the reports about BrOs is true, they are taking a chance; just not the chance you like them to take.

Another backup given another chance in Houston... that sounds so familiar.

I don't think there's ANY chance that Brock ends up as good as Schaub was at his peak.

They're all backups. So I take it you prefer a different backup.

Yeah i know RG3 was put in a backup role but he has had great success as a starter so there is proof that he could be really good in the right situation. I know he's been hurt but there is just more upside opportunity in this situation then any other imo. We all know he went to Baylor, he's from Texas and he's motivated. Seems like Brock is getting more of the benefit of the doubt which doesn't surprise me with the texans. Once again we will see what all happens bro.

And what right situation is that? What guarantees that he will be really good as a Texan? My guess is that the Texans have watched more tape than you. If they believed that they were the right situation for him, they would have (or will) reach out to his agents.

Many on here would argue that the Texans is the perfect situation for Brock, not Griffin.

Y'all are funny, picking sides and arguing like its Brady v Peyton.

I don't think it's fair to say there is 0 chance Brock ends up as good as Schaub. Schaub was a good QB but he played in a very safe QB system. I think it's possible Brock can get there, top 10 type. However, people forgot how good Schaub was so it is no insult to say it's questionable.

It's all a risk just like when Saints took the risk with a injury prone Brees. Can't really promise that RG3 or anyone else will be great with Bill Obrien. Brock we will also see but during the season next year I'll be here to talk about it lol.

It was also a risk to get Hoyer, Josh McCown, Brady Quinn, Chad Henne, Rex Grossman, Drew Bledsloe, Matt Flynn, Matt Caassel, etc. Free agent QBs work out less often. than not so I'll caution you to not get your hope too high.
