I thought I saw last night a mar1juana growing room in the Saviors complex. Grabbed this screen shot today Reminds me of a question I had: Where are the Saviors getting all this electricity? Their complex has no windows, etc, vs other communities we've seen. Outdoor generators are too noisy, but I suppose a satellite operations complex has big backup diesel generators in the basement. But with enough fuel?? Guess that's another reason why the Saviors ambushed the fuel truck. <img src="https://scontent-dfw1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpa1/t31.0-8/11174243_10207648265618245_7848487066679207366_o.jpg" width=800>
I would say Quantity,,,for multiple yields per year? But Georgia should have plenty of growing season. Plus, quantity should be no problem with no law. Next thought Quality? To control purity of strain and do clones. Outdoors is hard to prevent males?? That's an expensive hobby for precious electricity consumption. Aside from the electricity for lighting the facility, and cooling it (you'd think AC would be very necessary in a bunker), maybe a freezer for food, too....seems you wouldn't have high electricity consuming hobbies going on.
Safety against walkers and humans? Don't have to tend to it (while stoned) or worry about it getting stolen by other groups, if it's a rare thing to have
regarding safety and rarity: How's that different from growing tomatoes indoors? mar1juana is actually easier to hide and requires no tending (it's a weed). Seems you'd want to hide your tomatoes more, if you had the choice and electricity to spend on it. Is mar1juana worth spending electricity on vs other produce? Weird they made a point of showing that grow room...yet no description of what it was for casual viewers.
Could it have been there already? I also assume the the place has a generator. It's not like there's a shortage of generators either lots of people dead lots of empty store with equipment just sitting there. Depending on your territory you might have a lot of luxuries that most people had before the this all happened. Especially if you have a lot of man power.
Even in states where legalized, the companies doing the production typically grow indoors. I assume due to less variables.
Let's put it to a vote. We have precious amounts of fuel and can't allocate it to everything, should we: Pick no more than three A) Use it for cars and trucks B) Use it to run indoor generators in our bunkers for essentials: lights, recharge batteries, hot water, kitchen utilities, freezers, A/C C) Use it to generate light to grow tomatoes and other crops indoors vs outdoors D) Use it to grow mar1juana indoors vs outdoors btw: the screen shot above might actually be tomatoes rather than weed. btw btw: I thought it was a given that you don't run outdoor generators, because the noise will attrack Zombies. The Saviors likely have indoor generators in that complex.
It's a society of crazed maniacs that kill to get what they want and beat folks for whatever reasons they feel necessary. mar1juana might be more of a priority for them. Grow the WEED! we can just steal the food from other communities
BiGGieStuFF so, you vote we should use the fuel on 24/7, high-consumption electricity generation for a weed that grows easily in the outdoors, versus motorcycles, cars and trucks to protect and expand your domain of influence. sorry R0ckets03 for the fun Talking Weed sidetrack commentary
Unlimited power source from nuclear plant? They have their food source so no need to grow tomatoes or any plants. They grow weed inside so they can have access control and protection of it? Weed must be a high value commodity among them. Food usually would be, but they already have that covered.
I'm sane so no I wouldn't vote that way. But I can't speak for folks who follow a crazy loon who beats folks in the head with a bat . Maybe it's medcinal hahaha
Is there really a shortage of gas though? Again shortage of people means less consumption. Gas stations are filled with the stuff you would just have to know how to get it out. Depending on what your territory is you may not have a shortage. Hilltop is a farm they have plenty of food no guns though. It depends where you live and what you are able to gather I think.
This is a possibility plants could run for years without supplies and are designed to keep things out.
Liked it. Another in what seems to be the strongest season since season 1. Won't go into any detail to avoid spoiling, but in general, anything involving Carol or Darryl is going to be a strong episode.
Didn't like that it took a whole episode. Half of one would have been great. Otherwise, it was good to show more about the characters from that side.
