I wouldn't be so certain they're looking at it like that. I would imagine RG3 is a target regardless of what else happens. He's not a high-value investment. He is a project. Reminds me of what Kubiak & Smith did with Leinart a few years ago.
I doubt RG3 is a target. 1) All of the local reporters say he isn't 2) Fits with the way BOB doesn't like guys who aren't great teammates 3) RG3 has a history of having issues with "systems" Doesn't seem like a BOB type player. I also think someone will give him more money than you think.
screw the BOB type of players.. so Mallet Hoyer Fitzpatrick are all BOB type of players and look what happened. They need to take the damn risk and let it play out. If it works great- and if it doesnt it doesnt.
If Daryl Morey ran the Texans, there's no doubt RG3 would be a Texan. Not sure if that's a good thing but at least the Rox goes after guys unlike the Texans who only go after Patriot rejects.
Probably isn't, he'd make far too much sense, and would give the fanbase some semblance of hope. They'll probably bring in some awful scrub or just roll with Hoyer in order to really get the depression going.

The Texans will bring back Fitzpatrick and draft Hackenberg is the more likely scenario. And for running back they will get CJ Anderson and hire Kyle Shanahan to run the offense again.
And that's EXACTLY why they should pick up RG3. BOB looks for garbage at the QB position as evidenced by every single QB he's brought in. He looks for Fitz, he looks for Hoyer, he looks for Mallett......WE DON'T WANT WHAT BOB LOOKS FOR! We want better than that.
Does Josh Smith count as a Pistons reject or a Clippers reject? What about Beasley? The whole league pretty much rejected him. Morey even has a 76er reject on the team. Can't get worse than that.

Yeah where ever he goes he balls out while whoever Houston has gets sacked repeatedly and throws ints at crucial moments all throughout the season... there is always next year and we need a qb will be the theme again until Houston fans stop showing up to games at NRG... the end. Team moves to San Antonio.
I don't get it either. You know I have been very critical of Smith and McNair, but if they prefer another QB over RG3, then what is the problem? RG3 has a lot of question marks and serious problems reading the field...
