Excited to re-read this thread when I finish. Don't want to risk spoilers, but this season is pretty damn good so far. Pleasantly surprised.
the subreddit is way better... this thread is pretty underwhelming after watching a ****ing amazing season like that my season rank though... 2, 4, 1, 3 Spoiler hope the 5th one is the last
Good season. Definitely better than Season 3 and a solid ending. Might be my favorite season of the 4 although I admit, I like them all. I'm a sucker for this kind of stuff. My favorite scene in Season 4 from I think Episode 10: Spoiler Frank has the Secretary of State in his office and spills the beans he killed Zoe and Russo....then laughs it off like he's joking. But she knows deep inside...he's not joking. And suddenly, she's not so willing to stand up to Frank.
That scene, along with a particular angry monologue directed towards Claire, is probably what Spacey is going to submit for Emmy nominations. Such a good actor.
That was greatness, played perfectly by both actors as well... Have episodes 11-13 left, can't wait to finished
Finished season 4 last night, it was incredible. I need more, can't wait for season 5. Question I have about Doug (spoilers for people in the 1st half of the season). Spoiler When he 1st started looking at the memorial fund for the person Frank jumped on the donor wait list, it looked like he was staring at the wife the whole time. Is that the only reason he donated, so he could get a chance to meet her? Also (very minor spoiler) Spoiler **** Freddy. Frank was a loyal customer, Freddy's dumbass son cost him everything and Frank got him a job in the freaking White House! He even offered him more money to stay at his current job, and just asked for ribs one last time. I used to like Freddy, but he was being overly sensitive there.
Dude is a needy psycho. I never liked him but Frank was pretty bad for him and completely abandoned him when times got hard. Destroyed everything he built.
Spoiler I think Doug needed to be cared for by the widow. After they met though, Doug probably took a liking to her. iirc, they never really accentuated that storyline. Doug met her at a coffee shop, and then at his place, and I think that was it. No implied sexytime - just Doug needing to somewhat clear his conscience.
Finished it up last night, was really impressed by it all around... That ending, can't wait to see the next season......
Just finished season 3. I really enjoyed it despite reading all of the reviews saying it wasn't any good. Season 4 looks promising so far.
Good season and things have been set up for an excellent season 5. Question. Anyone know the name of Doug Stamper's ringtone, and where to get? Go to episode 51 at the 42:58 mark to hear.
