So you want a stretch 5? And wasn't Harden able to drive when we had Asik?

Harden couldn't drive with Dwight and Capela clogging the lane last year.

That's why we only made it to the WCF

I think all the issues clearly point to chemistry. Just watching it kind of feels like the team is divided. Half of the team all hangs out outside of basketball and the other half do there thing. On paper this team is so deep. It even showed last year that the rockets had a very good team top to bottom. Some guys just aren't playing well but I think again that has to do with the divide of the team. No movement just a bunch of one on one basketball and other then harden nobody on this team is good at that. So without the chemistry the ball movement isn't there and that's where the struggles come from on. Offense. Defense struggles because the offense isn't working some players aren't as engaged as they should be. It'll be interesting to see how things play out next season. But I still expect the rockets to make the playoffs this season.

Agree 100%. If we lose Dwight, we're going to be kicking ourselves. Capela won't be able to fully replicate what D12 does for us. If we could resign him at around $20 million, and lure Horford or Durant, we'd be in business.

You obviously don't think defense means anything.

Dwight is just a stupid person period. His head is never IN the game and focused, its y he cant hit free throws, its why he tries to steal or block every possession instead of playing solid defense, its why 60% of his post moves ends up in a TO or missed shot, its why he is one of the league leaders in technicals the last 2 years.

He is too egotistical to play 100% if he doesent get touches he feels he "deserves" for crying out loud, sure he does get good position and seals his defender , and alot of those times he doesent see the pass, but thats due to our lack of passing in this team.
We dont have one player who is above average passing the basketball except maybe harden NOT1!!!...and they cant shoot to boot, this is all on Morey and his idiotic signings and non trades.

I love dwight as a person, but the goofy look he gives or smile he gives when something bad is happening pisses me off more than anything, and shows he isn't in it. Stop putting yourself on a pedastol and things might work out, but no way in hell is he a 20?per player at this stage of his career no matter what, especially considering his injury history.

To be Fair he has always been stupid, but his freakish athletic ability covered it most of the time, that ability isnt freakish anymore and the rest of his flaws r showing with it.

I agree that he looked like that Dwight last night, and at times seemed like he was pouting and giving up. But that's pretty harsh and not always true. There have been many nights where it seems he's the only one trying on defense.

Overall he is correct though. I always wondered what Kobe meant when he was talking about Dwight and now I know. You can even watch old video of him with Kobe doing the same things. Lazy picks, crying about not getting the ball it's the same things. Last year Prigioni and Smith saved us because they were gifted passers and they weren't covered like Harden was. For Dwight you have to give it to him the exact right spot in order for him to be effective so he can dunk. Otherwise he'll miss on a post up or he'll miss fouls. As much as I was happy when he got here I will be happy to see him leave. I defended him when this thread was first started but I see the light now.

I saw Harden pouring A-1 all over DMo actually. Disgraceful.

Jesus, the WC finals is not the goal - we got one good game out of two knucklehead ball players that brought this team back in game 6 vs the Clippers.....we were 2nd round fodder, and got lucky.

The goal is not to get lucky but to be a consistent contender, we are nowhere nearer to that then when Morey took over, in fact we are further away from the day he assumed the reins.

I agree regarding playoff Dwight big time. I don't know if we could have just traded Dwight whenever we believed it would benefit us, considering how he chose us from so many options. I don't pretend to know how that stuff works, but that is my impression from other posters.

Capela is better than Dwight on defense now , especially in a scrambling scheme . Dwight has lost quickness . He still has bulk but that's only useful in defending heavy players in the post .

Carlos Boozer was an elite player when he had those stats.
