He's played like this before, it won't matter to J.B. nor did it for McHale. They won't give players minutes based on performance.
Good one ! You have to laugh to keep from crying. There is a reason DH has never won anything. he is now a second rate talent. Someone may pay him the $$ but he doesn't have it anymore. He has mailed it in...play someone else....PLEASE.
That is what I thought also but once he was being dealt and didn't get dealt I just a feeling that Howard would do his subtle way of sticking it to the team. The organization should take this into account and play him less ending the season.
In order to change the culture of this team the Rockets have to get rid of one of their lazy "stars." You cannot have Howard and Harden as your main players when they both pick and choose when they want to give effort. And of course Morey needs to realize that COACHING MATTERS. This team is UNDISCIPLINED and LAZY.
I often wonder what might have happened if they had kept that group together, and rather than pursing Howard had went for help at the four, and to a lesser degree at the point. Patrick Patterson and Parsons have done well since leaving the Rockets. Marcus Morris was solid off the bench. And for all the hate he gets here Lin has shown to be a decent player as well. For all Omer's faults, in many ways he was a better fit with Harden than Dwight because he sets better screens and doesn't expect many touches in the post. If you could add a Draymond Green type player to that group it would be interesting to see what they could accomplish.
Don't blame Morey for going after Howard but in the end the gamble was not worth it. Howard will bolt once the season is over and he gets to go where he wants to end his career. I hope the organization can learn it's lesson and let group of players become a team instead the revolving door of players.
Prior to tonight, since all-star break: 35 minutes 17.3 points 11.8 rebounds 37-61(.607) FG 30-68(.441) FT 8 & 12 tonight, YOU BUM! GET OUT OF TOWN!
In my opinion effort hasn't been a problem for Harden for awhile. He came into the season out of shape and showed poor effort at times, but over last month or so that hasn't been the case. He makes poor decisions and still gets lost on defense at times, but it's not from a lack of effort. There were multiple time tonight where it was obvious Dwight just wasn't going all out. Maybe others are right when they say he's checked out for season.
