Most of the jobs lost were government and construction (due to the housing collapse). Casinos were not affected like they were. Also, the high number of 138,000 unemployed in 2009 has been cut in half since. According to a study released Monday by Moody’s, Las Vegas casino win revenue has increased 7.2 percent since 2007, https://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/govbeat/wp/2014/08/04/why-las-vegas-has-recovered-better-than-atlantic-city-since-the-recession/ But the housing market still has yet to recover. I'm wondering if it ever will. The problem with Atlantic City is that all they have is gaming. So yes, when you are all in on just one industry, when it dies or suffers so do your jobs.

as somebody with progressive views, I welcome the imminent nomination of da Donald, and the utter destruction of the GOP that will bring. I welcome a judicial wing that will be as left-wing for the next twenty years as it was right-wing for the last twenty years. I welcome the abandonment of the growing minority vote, at a time where America will soon be majority-minority. I welcome the possibility of Senate Republicans losing their majority, something they have frantically acknowledged in recent weeks. In short, I welcome the cementing of progressive ideas and the entrenchment of further ones. Trump IS going to make America great again, though perhaps not as he intended (though who knows what he intends.) Onwards and forwards Trumpeters!
Trump must not become potus. The KKK's awakening is real, and the real danger is that their membership will swell enormously in the coming years if they are giving a voice. I am not saying Trump is an outright racist, though he has made some outrageous statements, but he sure attracts an ugly segment of our population.
I wish I knew how other governments and other countries populations few Americas political system. Probably as a joke
In the span of 24 hours Trump went from: To this: Either Trump doesn't understand the ABCs of immigration policy or his handlers got to him after the debate and made him recant his absurd flip-flopping twice on the same issue in a matter of hours. However, my suspicion is that Trump is showing "flexibility" on this issue because he's already under scrutiny for previously hiring illegal aliens and now the same could be true for his other ventures including Mar-a-Lago and the use of foreign workers. Therefore, Trump is staking out two positions equally as confusing as the rest of his policies so he can quickly shift to whichever suits his needs. Nonetheless, his delusional fanbase won't be affected by this colossal blunder. The march to his drum beat continues, "Make America Confused... AGAIN!"
There are so many contradictory stances when it comes to the debates about unions, wages, immigration, skills, etc. And the Republicans are essentially being called out by Trump on these (and other contradictions). Sanders is the best the Democrats have. It's not the GOP that needs to worry if Trump is elected. Because if Trump is the nominee, note only do they win the WH, they will in effect have higher turnout for House of Rep and Senate elections as well. BTW, how many Democratic governors are there? 17?
SIEG HEIL!!!!

PREDICTION: Donald Trump will probably never do this at a rally again. pic.twitter.com/W1XAvajRoL
— Frank Luntz (@FrankLuntz) March 5, 2016

Most of those contradictions are from Trump himself. Trump will also likely energize much of the Democratic base too.
I'm just curious: Do you all know people who openly support Trump? I don't. I see it in the polls, but it's not around me. It seems like people are secretive about it. I get it though. If I were voting for someone inherently evil, I don't know if I would admit to it.
I have two family members who support the Donald who I've heard openly trash him around friends. People care what others think.
No, I don't. A lot of my family is conservative, and most are voting for Rubio with a few voting for Cruz and one for Kasich. No one has admitted to voting for Trump.
