Shoot the three-ball. And, for all we like to make fun of Harden, he's actually a better decision-maker on offense, IMO. Westbrook makes far more "wtf" decisions, especially shots he takes.
I'm ranking Westbrook last solely on the fact that ball dominant, scoring PG's have not been able to net very many titles historically.
Durant > Harden > Westbrook There's a reason the Thunder haven't sniffed the finals since Harden left. He's a much better closer than Russ. And let's not even pretend Westbrook plays great defense either.
1. Durant 2. Westbrook 3. Harden And they haven't "sniffed" the Finals because of injuries. Dating back to the start of the 2010-11 season, the Thunder has gone 225-87 (.721) with Durant, Ibaka and Westbrook in the starting lineup. Additionally, since the start of the 2013-14 season, the Thunder has gone 51-20 with a starting line-up comprised of Adams, Durant, Ibaka, Roberson and Westbrook. The Thunder has not lost a playoff series since the 2012 NBA Finals when Durant, Ibaka and Westbrook were all healthy. That's probably gonna end this year but...
On talent alone I'd say Durant>Westbrook>>Harden Westbrook is supremely talented. However, when I rank for efficiency and team building? Durant>Harden=Westbrook. I think Harden and Westbrook both have flaws that complicate things for their team. Harden's defensive issues handicap the roster. Westbrook's desire to be THE superstar on his team can cost his team games.
Their turnover rates are essentially identical. Westbrook assists more, sure, but he has one of the greatest scorers ever to pass to, in Durant. Harden would pick up quite a few more assists if he had Durant to pass to.
This is a total joke. How was Westbrook getting all those triple doubles and assist last year when Durant was out? A lot of bad post in this thread, people are underrating Westbrook, and overrating Harden, which is expected on this forum I guess.
Hey, I've been labeled a "Harden apologist" for disagreeing with the few dumb posters who like to trash Harden. But Westbrook is having a better season, and is currently the better player. Discrediting his assist, and A/TO ratio is ridiculous. He's having a career year in his FG%, EFG%, TS% and yet is being called Westbrick.
Yea, but he still is nowhere near as efficient as Harden is, even in his career year and and Harden's career low. Who your teammates are matters when it comes to turnovers and assists. Teams can double team Harden without fear, and his shooters can't hit ****.
1. KD (#2 in NBA) 2. Westbrook (#4 in NBA) 3. Harden (#7 in NBA) I think Harden/KD is a better combo though
Westbrook ONLY averages 4.2 turnovers and is AMAZING. Harden averages an INSANE 4.5 turnovers and is a careless effortless BUM. #ClutchFansLogic
Lol are you serious dude? 4.2 turnovers and 10.3 assist = good 4.5 turnovers and 7 assist = bad But let's totally ignore assist to turnover ratio. Can you guys believe that scrub Chris Paul averages more turnovers then Beverley?? And people call him a great point guard LOL - # Clutchfans logic
I mean, you are completely ignoring the fact that hardens worst year for TS% is better than westbrooks best TS% year. So, really, if you are starting with cherry picked statistics, why do you get upset when others do it back to you?
If you really think you can compare Westbrook to Josh smith you might be the Josh smith of Clutchfans posters.
Because I never argued that Westbrook is as effecient as Harden? I'm not cherry picking anything. Overall (defense, rebounding, assist, steals, turnovers) Westbrook has been superior this season.
