Probably not a popular opinion, but I dislike Kasich as much as anyone else in the field. This is someone who rejected Syrian refugees and more or less calling for an invasion of Syria. As well as defunding Planned Parenthood just recently. He speaks well but if his Ohio record is any indication, he’s going to make inroads into repealing some of the current social advancements to the country like women’s rights or gay marriage. As well as going to war in Syria. If that’s the alternative, I think I may actually prefer Trump spending all his days getting Mexico to build a wall.

Honestly, the entire field scares the living hell out of me. That's why I'm a Trump supporter. Because all the polls are showing he has a definite ceiling because many people adamantly refuse to vote for him. Him being nominated is the best case for none of the guys possible to get into the White House.

the business-as-usual criminals occupying washington are terrified at what might happen with a wild card in the white house like trump. they and wall street need everything running just like normal. they will likely shut trump out by the RNC convention, or just outright kill him. for the GOP establishment, even hillary is preferrable to trump. but undoubtedly in due time all these unhappy voters are eventually going to rebel and just push up the next trumps even harder. the days of the corrupt whores (hillary included) in office and not in prison are clearly numbered.

A democratic senate, a republican house, and the donald as president.

I will say this, he would shake up the political system. Probably would get impeached. Definitely would be entertaining.

I might consider voting for him...not because I believe in any of his policies, not because I think he is anything but an boorish narcissist who had no idea on how to run a country - but because he might actually for once do what no one else could do

    unify democrats and republicans...

    .....against him.

    1. Replace business-as-usual, corrupt criminal in Washington with business-as-usual, corrupt con-man from the private sector, Trump.

I'm starting to think that the GOP will end up uniting behind Trump. It's going to be a long painful process but it won't surprise if the GOP leadership and other candidates end up standing behind Trump looking like Christie did.

That they all said they would support the nominee last night is a pretty strong indicator and words that will be very hard for them to walk back.

All of these guys might hate him but the 'R' he will have by his name will carry more weight.

^^ absolutely. It will happen. He will take the entire party to a more crass place. I should say, he "is taking" the party to a more crass place already. Just look at that joke of a debate.

That is what appeared to happen to rational policy, and issue oriented viewing.

I don't think Trump lost any support at all last night because of what Cruz did.

His supporters don't care about policy, and have never cared about policy. They joined team Trump before he had any policy plans out there.

Is there a highlight reel of Trump looking like a fool last night? I don't want to watch the whole fiasco.

I think Trump got stronger after last night. He's successfully bringing guys down to his level and they are falling for it. Actually most of them are willing to go down that road it's ridiculous.

This is why no one should take it for granted that Clinton, or Sanders, will just waltz to the Whitehouse in the general. Republicans for decades have prized team loyalty and that is going to be a very hard habit to break. For the sake of the party it would be humiliating to lose a third presidential election especially to someone who the party has hated for a quarter century or to a Socialist.

It will be like how I felt when Roger Clemons played for the Stros. I hate him but I will root for him while his jersey says "Houston".

The Clemons analogy hit home, and hurt badly!

But yeah, as far as Trump/Roger go, it's the "He's an *******, but he's OUR *******" dictum.

Trump might be just as un-presidential as Billy Clinton and his womanizing, lying, transgressions that came out during his 1992 campaign.

Is he taking them to a crass place or is he exposing them for what they always were?

No. Just, no. There is no prior comparison to Trump that has occupied the White House. You will find no vulgarities or low-level talk from Clinton during his campaign. Find any president who repeatedly displayed such a lack of statesmanship, and prove it with video. You can't. Trump is a unique beast, here. And there is no hiding behind false equivocation on this one.

Limbaugh, et al. will have to come up with better talking points than this.

Bingo! Trump is doing the same-old same-old. He just isn't bothering to mask it or try to make it statesman or restrict it to conservative media outlets or hide it in a whisper campaign.
