None of this has anything to do with the slave class that powerful because it's large, but powerless because it doesn't have legal recourse (lolllllllll and the average individual wage taker is going to take unlivable wages to the Supreme Court). This debate is nuts. I wonder how long the collective memory is. I don't think anyone can think this is a good sign. I just doubt anyone will remember this ugliness is for more than a few days.
Rubio did not win. He comes across as a whiny teenager. He's just the most willing to dive into the mud attacking Trump. Cruz looked good until the end of each answer when he irrationally shifted the answer into an attack on Trump. Kasich actually came across as the most adult. Trump, for the most part, just defended himself from everyone in the room besides Kasich attacking him.
I was already thinking it, but tonight confirmed it... Trump vs. Hillary would be the worst thing ever. He's such an easy target. All Hillary will do is send a little jab at him, and he will take care of the rest. Cruz got a very solid jump tonight. Rubio has gotten less robotic, which is good, but I'm still not much of a fan of his. Kasich was the only real Presidential candidate in the room, but he will never win.
Kasich is the only one of the candidates I would actually vote for. Unfortunately the GOP has been taken over by a bunch of r****ds.

Murica already handed this bunch much of the House and Senate and control of state legislatures and governorships. They are already in power. The Whitehouse will just be their crowning achievement and give them little resistance in implementing their shallow schemes at the federal level.
This is a result of lack of education and participation. It's allowed the GOP to dominate in elections that get less coverage but are still very important. If the Dems showed up for off year elections and local elections like they had in 2008 the GOP wouldn't have the state house and house of Representatives advantage.
Just when you think things couldn't be any worse, that debate was an embarrassment for all of America. If I were a Republican, I would be seriously considering why...
I would add to that: it is also the result of over 30 years of grooming an audience for the GOP message. FoxNews has just been the TV component for the last 15+ years. Anyway, I wholeheartedly agree that poor voter turnout in off years, taking for granted the importance of local elections, has yielded the GOP a strong political base.
I cringe while reading international coverage of the Republican race. Our country is diminishing in stature every day this BS goes on.
Yet so many people would still risk their lives trying to get here. Who gives a **** what other countries have to say. Have seen European politics? they are on par with what the GOP are dragging out there. They are no better.
I've never understood the "how the world looks at us" appeal from certain candidates and the media. Let us look at the rest of the world (by population of each country): China - ruled by the authoritarian Politburo; houkou caste system; persecution of Falun Dafa; horrific pollution levels India - half of the country poops on the side of the street; diarrhea is a major (top 3) killer of children under the age of 5; caste system Indonesia - Islamic insurgency; reeling corruption from decades of corrupt military dictatorship Brazil - racism and segregation that rivals and exceeds the United States (i.e. death squads); high crime rate Pakistan - uneducated, underemployed, and corrupt nation with NUKES Nigeria - ethnic segregation; Islamic insurgencies; corruption; coastal pollution from oil drilling Bangladesh - 61% literacy rate Russia - life expectancy of 64 for males; severe alcoholism; corruption I mean, the list goes on and on just like that. Nobody is perfect, including the US. For the time being, I don't think the thought of "how the world views us" is going to sway my opinion.

Remember the mantra "I control your thoughts and emotions"..... Well Trump did that, he won, the debate was about him..... over 80% of the debate was either a question or answer or attack on Donald Trump. Rubio lacks the stones. Cruz is very qualified and smart, but not sure he is the alpha figure the Republican base needs to guide them through these tough political times.
That is exactly the point. You can tell how much those other countries admire the US when they show anguish at the US for screwing up. They showed it when Bush misled the county into war. They are showing it with Trump. The US is supposed to be a shining light on hill. A model for what is possible in government and society. What the Republican party has done and is doing -- accelerated by Trump -- is a damn shame.
I mostly see the US slammed by foreign media so I don't think the motivations you apply probably don't exist.
