Well... Pat Riley, Dwyane Wade, Bosh, Spo, LeBron, Haslem, and Alonzo Mourning couldn't get through to him.

Maybe he needs to be around people that speak tard to thrive. Harden, Howard, and Smoooooove GO!

Such an odd season.....not like it can get any worse right?

I'd rather him than T.Jones though.

It's insane to think he's still only 27... Anything could happen if his head is screwed on straight and we get a real coach next season. Could have a mini big 4...

Look... .I'm in the BimaThug camp where I see this move as 110% focused on next season specifically locking in free agent camp invites on min contracts. Sort of like grabbing next seasons "Marcus Thornton Types" now when you can secure the minimum contract.

This Summer a guy like Beasley might actually have leverage to get much more. Grabbing Goudelock and EVEN Beasley now is actually a smart move.

Unless D-Mo gets injured, TJ & Smith get waived, and Harrell continues to struggle to get PT, I fully anticipate that we won't see much if any Beasley at the 4 this season.

*I also anticipate that the Rockets will likely have 20 players in camp next Summer and Beasley & Goudelock will probably be one of the 6 or 7 players fighting to one of the final roster spots. You guys are losing your damn minds if you think that Morey is banking on Beasley being the next longterm power forward for the Rockets or anything. Just a shot at a PF with some talent that can challenge the other PF's on the roster for minutes, or give you some scoring in minutes off the bench at the spot.

(also makes me think that Josh Smith likely wont be here next year but just a hunch)

True sometimes it takes some players longer to get it going. Look at Hassan Whiteside for the Heat, is a good example of finally get it going.

He was No 2 , second only to Derrick Rose.

Rose won an MVP, injured himself and ended up with no title

Beasley did not make much noise, became a journeyman

Why does Morey always sign these headcase players to kill any kind of chemistry we have on the team?

    - Royce White
    - Josh Smith
    - Michael Beasley
    - Ty Lawson

Because "statistically" they can contribute to the team? Oh lord...

You know who really killed team chemistry? Clyde Drexler. That team was never the same.

Because there is really no evidence that suggests that either of these four players truly made the team worse, and obviously we haven't heard anything about any of these players causing disruptions in the locker room despite their reputation. Even Royce White didn't really even impact the locker room because he never made it there to begin with.

And actually Josh Smith worked out last year, and even in glimpses this season we have seen where he can help (even though he's been horrible lately hence why he's not playing much in the 2nd half of games).

The Beasley signing is maybe the lowest risk gamble of all of these moves. This is simply a low risk minimum signing training camp invite for next year. No draft picks were given up to get him. No good players were traded to get him. His contract can be waived at any time. There probably isn't anyone in the D-league who can help in the next 3 years.

It is what it is. A low risk gamble. It's worked out a 1/4 of the time, and between all of 4 of these moves, you are looking at most likely 2 mid first rounders being given up. Those 2 first round draft picks likely won't have half the talent of a Ty Lawson or Josh Smith.

So until these guys start really hurting the locker room situation, or costing the Rockets more and more draft picks, I'm totally fine taking low risk gambles on highly talented players that come available because of various circumstances. If Lawson, Smith, and White secretly were cancers in the locker room that I was not made aware of then that's a different story, but until we get evidence of this, we can assume that its not the case.

Low risk shot. Dude has talent. If he screwed his head on. Had an awakening. You never know. He did play with JB in Minni. So..
