As for other less predictable shiny new narratives, According to the DaDakota after show, "Picking the Can," the next narrative, in the event DMo doesn't come back right away or get many minutes, will be that we are showcasing TJones for draft-day trade to get below the tax, with the added shiny object that we are hiding DMo on the bench to drop his market value for FA season because we are CHEAP!
Nah, you aren't smart enough to figure out what my next move will be.......I am IN YOUR THOUGHTS...and controlling your mind!! Bwahahahahah DD
Pistons Dr. saw dust that flew through the window from car manufacturing buildings and landed on xray. We're good.
cool...so when you actually use one of those narratives discussed on the "Picking the Can" after show (and you will), we will be able to say you stole it from them...IMHO
Still in my post-deadline hangover, but it's good to hear from Morey. I firmly believe we will be the 6th seed, but obviously, even with guys saying the "right things" after the debacle, I've heard some sentiments of animosity. Every team has a dog house, and so do the Rox. One guy in particular has been living in there off and on since the beginning. I hope fresh air changes things a little bit,and yeah, I have my own personal bias . I'm glad most of our guys are back, and I hope JB doesn't "McHale" anyone on the bench for multiple games.... Holding down the 8th seed....what a year. There's not too much fire burning on the buyout front (anymore) GoGreen was the biggest of that collection. As many of us have mentioned over and over, DMo's "injury" is complicated. Detroit recognized that, and I wasn't trying to start a TJ/DMo war when I wrote that DMo is healing very slowly, and that a "shut it down" was plausible at the time. I hope that's not the case for a playoff push. With that said, despite my fear of names after this deadline (and before...Sorry J.Noah ), There is a tough man in the Mile High City that was once considered to be packaged with our own JHam of RGV. I haven't heard back yet about how much we may be interested, but with injuries, lack of experience with Clint and the need for some toughness down low, JJ would be great. Unfortunately, he also has feelers with Nene and the Wiz. With our luck, I bet he goes to DC, but I'd gladly welcome him to htown. Just writing it how I heard it. He may sign within 24 hours....somewhere. 28-28 looks rough these days, huh? Off to the doc!! -Cod EDIT:::: Just as I posted from the text I got, it sounds like David Aldridge has JJ teaming up with my fam. Too bad....
Doghouse refers to MT. Doubt that this near-trade fiasco changes anything on that front, though. Wanted him too, but Hickson just signed with the Wizards, per Shams
Man I really enjoy CF cause of dudes like Codman posting with cryptic, legit inside intel. To me Cod's post very strongly alludes to MT being that guy who has been off & on in the dog house. That sucks. But it makes sense. You got a guy who came in ready to show the world, then we as a team play like crap, and he is sitting while guys who suck on a whole new level of suck ( Corey Screwer ) are playing in front of him. This whole season has to be frustrating for everyone on the team. MT just seems like a guy who doesn't play games. Homey don't play, as we once said in the early 90s. Like he plays with a chip on his shoulder. Great competitive attitude, but probably a guy who doesn't take well to not getting consistent rotation minutes.
GoGreen was David Lee right? Two Es with an L under it? Lol. Personslly, I don't know how to feel about MT. I think he has the talent, but I'm not sure if he is a for sure 100 percent team guy. He seems like he's just riding the waves for now.
Sounds like the entire team TBH. I HOPE they can pull it together, all it takes is for the guys to play hard, in defined roles and play for each other. Maybe JBB can do an US against the world deal to get them motivated. DD
Daryl Morey on 790 a few mins back. I may have missed a thing here or there but overall here is a quick recap. Nothing really significant as expected. 790: On what has changed between the millennials and now? DM: I think every player is different. I would have to take a step back and think about it a bit more. There is a tendency amongst everyone to look back and say that’s messed up. I sort of resist that we know something different or worst amongst players 790: In all your years in the NBA, how many times do you win shooting like that form 3? DM: We have won the 3rd most games in the last 10 years and I don’t remember how many games we have won shooting like that from 3 790: I thought Harden was very good defensively. He had 4 steals but looked like he did a lot more. DM: When he is dialed in, he is very disruptive and very hard for someone who he is guarding. For our whole team we are pretty good when we are ticked in. From our length from Trevor to Patrick to Bev to Corey, we can be very disruptive. 790: Can you talk about your two new acquisitions or is it too early? DM: I can talk in generality. Obviously we have created some roster spots. Ty came to the Rockets and took a bet on himself and we owed it to him to join another NBA team that could make the playoffs. That created a roster spot. We are always looking for players who can help now and into the future. We are looking for players amongst those available who can help now and going into the future. We thought 1 and 4 spots were spots we could use help so got the best out there 790: Udrih had a buyout that ticked some people in the NBA off. Is there any reason to change the way the rules are set up? DM: I might change some rules but not that one particularly. The one I think that should be different and maybe changed is that you can join a team 1 hr before the playoffs and play on that team as long as you have not been in the NBA. Doesn’t feel right to have a guy join a team a day before the playoffs. If I were to change anything it would be a guy has to join a team few weeks before playoffs 790: On TJ DNP-CD last night. His minutes have gone down. DM: We got Clint back and Dmo is back playing much better. It’s frankly a numbers game with Dwight playing and Dmo and Josh as well. Coach JB felt Dmo was the best to slide into the starting pot with Clint, DMo and Dwight rounding the big 4. 790: Dmo played 22 minutes and looked good out there. DM: He has come on quick. He obviously had some rust to knock off. His last two games were the best so far and obviously he is an important part of us winning. 790: 5 road games here on DM: We have to knock a bunch of these games in order to end the season where we want
Now that's just funny. I would be much more scared of Dallas and Portland because both have great coaches and are more defensively sound.
