I think we could make one of the 4 games a close loss. You have to have a little more faith in the team.

lol oh man, if the best we can hope for is that one of those losses is a close loss, we better miss the playoffs and keep our pick.

I think we're going to be sneaky and grab that 6th seed. This year has been absolutely awful, but in the playoffs, anything can happen.

We've seen a 1-seed destroyed by an 8th seed before (Shout out to Capt. Jack!) I'm not saying that defeating the Warriors is going to happen like how the Mavs went out, but absolutely anything can happen in a seven game series.

IF James is on his game and if Dwight becomes "Playoff Dwight," we have a chance to be competitive. I believe that...and I think our boys will step up to compete.

Imagine if Ty Lawson hits his stride all of a sudden and we have some nastiness at the 4 with Smoov,DMo and TJ, or if Corey becomes the Clipper killer and Trevor and Bev find that lockdown defense button...

I agree with DM that the Rockets could be that team that is underestimated and causes some sort of upset.

    It's possible.

First things first...get to the 7th seed.

Could you repeat any more "ifs" in one post that haven't been repeated already this season?

I hope they do for my basketball experience, but long term making the post season for a 1st round kick in the ass won't do any good anyways. To all those people thinking that will show FAs they should come here...I can't help but laugh.

LOL, you're looking at things logically, which I normally try to do, but I have to be hopeful as a Rockets fan. After a season from hell, I want to believe we're rising up from our rock bottom. Maybe not though...

But, I don't think the "IFs" are too outlandish for the playoffs. The playoffs are all about IFs. We're called the "most disappointing" team this year, but we're also the most unpredictable. What IF :p;) we just happen to win a first-round series after a season of being swept by the Nuggets?

I agree somewhat with your assertion about free agents wanting to come to Houston, but I think a strong finish helps the cause. I also think that James has a stronger reach than we're aware of, and he'll convince some guys to come to Htown.

At least we're not Milwaukee...(No offense to those of you who live there. :) )

I hope you're right...I want to hope its the Mr. Hyde act that we've seen thus far, but after the 50th game this year I just couldn't . Some closure would be nice, we just seem to be hanging in purgatory atm.

Is it really worth making the play-offs to be smashed all over the park by either a historic GSW team or a rampant SAS team?

We are not even capable of tanking so might as well make the playoffs.

With Curry's ankles flaring up how interesting would it be if he missed the first round and the Rockets finally get on a roll?

That's about the only chance we have to get out of the first round at this point.

I wouldn't trust the Rockets ability to defeat Golden State even without Curry. The rockets already lost to a curry less Warriors team at home.
