My thread identifies the 2 contrasting types of gm. One who has built his reputation on analytics and has had a very long tenure with his team and another who has a long tenure but has a reputation based on coaching championship teams.
Are we discussing Coach Riley or GM Riley? Because it's not Darly's fault not coaching all time great Showtime Lakers team. Riley had a great coaching career and reputation he had while he was coaching surely helps him as a GM. Most importantly i don't see any all time great coach who willing to become GM in the market right know. You said our next GM needs to be basketball mind but you failed the show any possible candidates.
That's what I thought. I know for a fact I wouldn't be the one that would have to stop posting if you accepted the terms of that offer. You're just as spineless as you are a homer.
Let me add to this since we can go on and on... Baltimore the city sucks, but they've won two super bowls during the past 15 years. KC as a city sucks too...there's a reason they call it Kansas $hitty, but they almost won the world series two years ago and they won it last year. Don't get me started on Detroit as a city, but they even won a championship 12 years ago and were within 6 mins of winning another one the following season. Unbelievable the kind of excuses people will come up with to justify a position.
Jerry Lin has had a greater "statistical" impact in his stint with the rockets than Dmo did last year. James Harden jacking up a shot helps the team out because it saves them from attempting to score. You're the gift that keeps on giving. I think you're a smart guy, not in any way stupid...just ignorant and a fanboy to the point it clouds your judgement. Not anything you need to seek help for, provided that you don't act this way in real life.
So let me get this straight. You want me to sift through 10 years and 20k posts and compile a subjective list of who made better predictions. YOU GOT ME BROTHER, TOTALLY SPINELESS.
I'm not you. I only have over 5,000 points, but that's not the point. You made the claim that my "basketball opinions are terrible," which means the burden of proof is on you. If you can't support the serious allegation that you've made, then your claim is baseless. I offered you a deal in which I would stop posting on ClutchFans forever, if, after going through all the predictions I've made, there are more losers than winners and more inaccurate predictions than accurate ones. I added that if there are more winners than losers and more accurate predictions than inaccurate ones, you leave this site forever. You chose not to accept the offer and you have the nerve to talk about others trolling. I will help you out though since you need it. You can't consistently hit over 60% AGAINST THE SPREAD in the NBA if your ""basketball opinions are terrible." You can't correctly pick the winner of the NBA Finals before the playoffs start on a regular basis if your "basketball opinions are terrible."
Nostrakwamus I apologize, I did not know you picked the 67-15 GSW to win the title prior to the playoffs. Truly an amazing display of predictive magic. Was it their 11 game advantage of the nearest conference competitor, or perhaps the double digit point differential? You must be some sort of sorcerer. LOL
You mean after using the number 2 pick in the draft on him, instead of Russell Westbrook, Kevin Love, or Serge Ibaka?
Then why didn't you put your whole life savings on it? What about when I predicted the Heat to beat the Thunder in the Finals before the playoffs even started? What about when I predicted Miami to beat San Antonio in exactly 7 games during that Finals series? What about when I predicted the Clippers to win in 7 over the Spurs last year before the 1st round of the NBA playoffs started? Sure, we were both wrong in predicting the Clippers to beat the Rockets in 6 in the next round, but all this is documented. Thus, for you to say that my "basketball opinions are terrible" is factually incorrect. For you, on the other hand, there is nothing documented but hate and homerism.
