is it just me...or have yall seen more than the normal # of folks turning out for primaries?? I just went at 2:30 and there was a massive line...Just imagine closer to rush hour today...
Kasich will do well in the mid-west - which is why he is still in it. Also, he is from Ohio - a major swing state - and I think the GOP would like to have his popularity in Ohio show through in the primary/caucus. That being said, my father voted Libertarian for 30+ years - so I certainly know something about "throwing away" votes.
The stats are backing it up. Republican turnout has been YUUUUUGE this year compared to prior elections. Democratic...not so much. At least not to levels that secured Obama into office. Voted for Trump this morning. Feels good mayne.
2008 had a competitive Democratic primary on Super Tuesday. This year not so much. Bernie put up a good fight but this is nothing like the level of competition that existed in 2008. You also had voters with George Bush fatigue. You just dont have those elements this year.
there were 4 of us over on the Democrat side, maybe 12 on the GOP side when we went I always feel like I'm tilting at windmills when I vote here in Texas, and in a solid GOP district, but I still do it, every time. It's all I can do.
That's rude broski. I realize Cruz will likely take Texas, but he definitely won't get over 50%. He'll have to split it proportionally with Trump, so it won't be much of a win there, especially with Trump winning the majority of the other states. Keep calm and MAGA.
Got my Rubio vote in. He's been childish lately with his war of words with Trump but he's not "no plan" Trump or "crazy lunatic" Cruz. Would've vote Kasich but his momentum is gone and I think he make a great VP.
Massive turnout in both early voting and at today's two Election Day sites (early voting/'official' site at the Flawn Academic Center and one mobile at the Co-Op) on the UT campus. I'd imagine nearly all of the votes are going to Rubio and Bernie on their respective sides.
Large voter turnouts favor the Donald. All these people feel he gives them a voice(is it true? No). I wouldn't be shocked at the upset in Texas. He could very well win the general based off of the momentum he's building and his voter turnout being record breaking. As my fellow Clutchfans mentioned. Kasich is probably the best available, but Rubio is the most reasonable. That is where my vote went.
I voted for Rubio; not the candidate the GOP deserves, but the candidate it needs to defeat Drumpf. Though, I did take a hard serious look at Cruz, but my conscience wouldn't allow it.
The people who know Cruz best turned out in droves to support him. That was a butt kicking!!!! Time for Rubio and Carson to drop out and make this a two man race.
