Just playing the odds.

 

his numbers have stayed consistent overall throughout the years and aren't really considered inflated. There isn't some balloon effect in his last year. Regardless it was just a bad fit here.

He's not worth $13.4m next year. You really think so? Not only did actions of Denver and Houston clearly demonstrate that, but no team wanted him last summer, because of that salary.

Haven't been a lot of happy endings for #3's here.

 

They are inflated, because he wasn't worthy of running a Lawson-based offense last year, as the W-L record drastically plummets two years in a row. Few others teams would have clung to that offense, which inflated Lawson's numbers. Typically, only the team who drafts the player will cater to such a losing way of playing, especially if they want to part ways with him.

You didn't watch Denver last year. I live in the Denver area. He was not playing winning basketball, because both Denver and Lawson didn't care about winning anymore. They wanted to part ways. The entire fanbase had turned on him starting two years ago.

You can keep looking at his stats like a fantasy league owner if it helps, but you'll see he will never hit those numbers again, except maybe for another tanking team.

so was this all on Lawson in the 2 most recent years? because before that he obviously showed some success and he could lead a team into the playoffs in the tough West

Those can have an impact depending on which way the wind is blowing and what that person ate :grin:

 

He needs active players who cut & finish at the rim & run the break. The Rockets suck at all those. JB did absolutely nothing to the offense to adjust to Ty and we're running the exact same offense as last year just not hitting our 3's. Harden is essentially playing PG & SG, there was never a need room for another playmaker

 

It is actually amazing that there isn't one thing that Ty did on this team. Nothing remarkable at all really. No big shots, no "Ty Lawson game" etc. He was a ghost.

 

I think he just flat out quit after he got benched. Bye

 

The question is if he will still be in this league in 2 years. Because someone will give him a chance for sure next year. But beyond that? Not sure at all.
