When DMo came back some posters were saying this reflected poorly on Houston because Rockets looked like they tried to get over. Looks like Detroit got over.

Our self-loathing fans continue to think the Rockets treat players poorly and it is just not true. Haven't heard many (if any) bad things about the Rockets from current or former players.

Now if the roles were reversed and a player said the Rockets screwed them over this would be front page on all the sports websites.

Most people probably just look at it and think that he's lucky to not have to go to Detroit.

Donatas Motiejunas has been pegged and treated as a professional basketball player since he was 12-13 years old. He is very smart and has a good understanding of the business side of basketball and has a very good head on his shoulders.

Not the least surprised he feels the way he does. I suppose perhaps he should have said nothing at all. However he handled the questions with honest answers about as well as he could.

Stan VanGundy is a very odd guy. He is obviously very bright and works very hard. However he has been impulsive in the past, and has questioned himself a number of times. I will always remember him being replaced by Riley and the Heat getting over the top. I am not sure he has the stones to be a true great coach. The comments from Shaq that the players trusted him for 46 minutes rings true, those last few minutes... in the biggest games, he panicked and wasn't a leader. Stan wanted Motiejunas, and then realized he over paid...... then his team lost a few games and bam... trade is off.

NBA should request the details of the medical. Give the Rockets the pick anyway.

Cheating the system isn't cool. TWolves got hammered for a bad move in the past. Should be Detroits turn now.

He isn't worth the 15th pick unless you believe he is going to be something he has never been, a consistent starting power forward that gets you 15-17 points and 8-10 rebounds. Otherwise the cap space is more important because someone is going to over pay and Bird Rights or not he isn't likely worth what a desperate team will pay. That is why the Rockets dealt him.

Apparently, this was a Lithuanian sports news interview that had to be translated.

Doesn't this kind of give us the shaft because we would have tried a different deal wth another team if we thought this wouldn't go through? I do love dmo though but I'm just looking for a reason to be mad

    Translation is almost 95% correct.

Somebody here called DMo being "fake", "unprofessional" etc, but tell me, you a$$wipes, what professionalism did both Rockets and Pistons organization showed? Messing up with the guy and making him now a scapegoat? Bleep that. Whatever agenda is between SVG and Morey - that's up to them. This manipulation was as dirty as it get's.

Hey dumbass... what professionalism are you wanting from the Rockets? We did not do him dirty. We were always up front that he had an injury. We traded a ROLE PLAYER with a questionable back for a much more useful first round pick. We were NOT the one that tanked D-Mo's value by reneging on a trade. That was and is only Detroit. If anything, your dumbass should be thanking us for trying to trade D-Mo to a situation where he had a chance to get some legit starter minutes.

?? Ariza is our starting PF right now. This is about as good a team to get starter minutes as any.

Besides, obviously the best trade offers (and RFA offers) will come from teams who need a PF as well, hence why DET offered a 1st rounder to get First Right of Refusal.

Don't worry, come summer and DMo will wave goodbye to your highly ethical and professional elite organization in the NBA and all professional sports.

Josh Smith is the starter right now. I know a lot of you guys have tuned out of the season.

I never said we couldn't use him if healthy. I am sure we wouldn't be trading D-Mo if he actually was healthy. What I was correcting that idiot poster about was the fact that D-Mo was being traded to a young and upcoming team where D-Mo could legitimately showcase his talents. That idiot poster was trying to make it out like we did D-Mo dirty somehow, the stupid ****...

    caught me. :(

But, same applies. Josh Smith is our starter, whom DMo dispatched as starter last year. Still, a good situation for getting starter minutes.

Yup...... and the Rockets will hold the door for him when he walks out. I haven't heard the Rockets say a single negative thing about Motiejunas. The Rockets have been very patient with him and he in turn has worked very hard. Unfortunately the Rockets will need to spend money elsewhere. Someone will pay Motiejunas a large amount of money, and he will have earned it by working very hard.

How to earn oneself a no-trade clause in a NBA contract? Go kick the hell out of a homeless person.

DMo didn't throw anyone under the buss. He just said what happened. Lithuanians didn't really know what happened, the non twitter people, so DMo rounded it up, said that Pistons canceled the trade without giving anyone a reason why.
