Strangely this was on a jail lobby waiting room tv yesterday, where usually it's just news or weather. It was a girl and a guy on the show. The guy seemed to be doing fine. The girl was done, saying she hated the guy and wanted to go home. Showed her walking in the rain, looking down, arms crossed over her breasts while she was saying all that over the video. It kind of made sense. Idk if I'd be down for a whole episode, but I couldn't look away for those few minutes.
When you are that tired and vulnerable, the last thing you think about is sex or intimacy. There was an episode where the dude was crazy Christian and refused to even get close to his partner for warmth because he would somehow betray his wife if he did. He ended up falling out and she made through by herself even though he had little respect from her abilities. What you see is the women usually make it in better shape than the man even though the men come in with more survival knowledge. In this type of situation, mental toughness is the most important thing and women seem to be better at grinding it out.
Yuck- the last thing I want to see is a man's dirty arsehole 20 days in. Fuzzy private parts are a blessing for this show. If I wanted dirty, hairy natural junk with flies buzzing around, I would watch a 1970's p*rn flick. I wasn't referring to sex, specifically. Interesting things happen when you get inside of people's personal space, especially Americans.
^You probably watched Naked and Afraid XL, which was a totally different challenge than the originals. In XL, they were in Panama for 40 days with four groups of 3, six men and six women. Traditionally, it's a 21-day challenge with a man and a woman. It's a very entertaining show, but when you read some behind-the-scenes things, it kinda cheapens the value when you learn that the producers have some element in the drama. Although Honora is still a b****.
Nope- there are two pairs in the same place and run into each other about 1/3 of the way through the 21 days. Two guys, one blonde American girl and one brunette Australian (or Kiwi, can't tell the accent difference)
