he needs six rings to be considered one of the greats? Hakeem is one of the greats.

its not just a three point shot tho. its 35 foot plus three point shot that he is shooting with proficiency. I believe people will start practiciting it more, but you could be right

You didn't say one of the greats. I thought you said the greatest. If Im wrong my bad. Although saying he's the greatest shooter ever is implying he is one of the greats isn't it?

yea i guess I am playing semantics. I'll prob get roasted for this since he won 11 rings.

But its kind of like saying Bill Russell is only the greatest defender of all time even though he is not labeled with that exclusive qualification .

wish i could think of a better example.

"i don't really see why there is hesitancy in having him in greatest "player" of all time discussion"

Yeah you said greatest player ever discussion. It's too early for that.

Warriors not named Curry went 2-16 from 3. Klay was 2-9, the rest was 0-7. All of the Warriors could play a lot better than they did tonight. Curry wasn't even in the game for like, a 6 minute stretch in the 3rd.

Agreed. AND you would also have to beat GSW at home at least once, while winning all your own home games.

It's not like that at all. Russel is in the conversation for one of the greatest ever. Most people go with Jordan a lot would say Kareem.

The rest of the NBA is basically fodder for the Chef and the Ws.

Sure, they can... And they won't be as good.

It's why I laugh whenever somebody "trains" with Hakeem... Nobody could do what he did, and they sure as hell aren't going to learn how to do it in a few hours of playing one-on-one with him.

Curry will probably do the same thing when he retires... Charge people a boat-load to teach them how to shoot like he did.

It's like asking Pavoratti to teach me to sing like him... When you have your own peers (Lebron's tweet tonight amongst them) in awe of what you're doing, you know it's damn special.

Well I would say there is a distinct difference between being one of the greatest players ever and greatest shooters but that's just me. I would say in order to be one of the greatest players every you need to be able to do everything and do it at a consistent level. Guys like Jordan, Kobe, Shaquille, Dream etc ( You get where I'm going ) all could dominate the game on offense and defense.

I think Curry is one of the greats already...but I'm not giving him rings he hasn't won yet.

All it takes is one team to beat them. I don't think a series with the Spurs or Thunder is going to be a cakewalk pencil it in. I think those will be knock down, drag out, 6-7 game series and either team could win.

Klay still went off for 32 points though. He might not have shot the 3 well but he was still pretty damn efficient.

I get it. You argument is pretty solid.

What do you think about big men that are able to dribble, play D and shoot the the mid range now tho like Cousins? not saying he's on Hakeem's level, but I think there are more Big men that are going to have this skillset in the future.

Sure, they may not be hitting the 35 footer at 40 percent or whatever Curry is hitting them at, but even if they hit it at 35-37 percent, Curry would have been the spark for that.

Curry will 3peat unless he gets injured and likely win 3 MVPs as well. Honestly, he makes the NBA boring to watch for me. Just jacking up a bunch of 3pointers, reminds me of cheesing in 2k.
