I want to remind everyone that we got Sergio Llull's draft rights when Curry was drafted. He is the next Vassilis Spanoulis. JUST WAIT TIL HE COMES TO THE ROCKETS!

    Why???

    Big O told the truth...

Look at the video... I believe it's Robertson and Ibaka... They both ran straight to the 3 point line.. Big O stated that you see that Curry has extended his range, so you have to extend your defense..

Also back in theday you picked up your man full court and you stayed with him..

Yeah, MJ without the hand check or the hard foul would probably get 40+ per night. You couldn't do anything to stop him except put two or three guys on him.

What Curry is doing this season...Jordan has never done...

MJ's greatness stems from the fact that he wouldve figured out that the best defense against the Warriors would be to be perfect on offense.

I would even say 50... No hand check.. No hard fouls... No hard screens.. Fouls called if you breath on somebody...

    It would be ridicules..

Curry would not have this kind of success when Jordan played and dang sure not when Big O played...

The rules were different and that makes a huge difference... The guy can shoot.. I give him that... His daddy could flat out shoot... Actually if his daddy played in today's time he would be a superstar...

Yeah, he never did it bc MJ's game wasn't about shooting 3's. Scoring over 30ppg in a season? Meh. He did it 8 times, with 10 scoring titles. Curry might not even average 30ppg in the end.

Two different offensive styles in 2 different eras. Let's just appreciate this 3 point artistry from Curry without comparing offensive skills(dont even need to bring up defense which Jordan is also one of the GOATS on that side of the ball as well while Curry is merely average at best if you do want to start comparing Curry to Jordan).

Curry is the best pure shooter ever. However he really benefits from playing in the current era. It's a perimeter dominant league right now and rules are set up to benefit perimeter players more then ever. I give credit to Curry though for not getting complacent and continuing to work on his game. He and Thompson, who is also one of the best shooters of all time, are absolutely lethal and it's unfair they are on the same team.

Why could Dell be effective when he played, yet when people place Steph in Dell's era, they're quick to call "ineffective?"

I don't know much about basketball prior to the mid 90s, but Dell was a shooter much like Steph was a shooter, right?

If Dell had success in the hard-nosed era of basketball, there's no reason to think Steph couldn't find the same success.

Matt freakin Bullard has success in that era.... And he couldn't jump, couldn't play defense, couldn't rebound and couldn't pass.

Curry would have success in any era... But he definitely would have had to fight through more contact (like Reggie Miller had to) to get his shots.

But given how he's hitting them now, anybody want to bet that he wouldn't find a way to make them with just a little more effort being spent?

He's great..but it's mind blowing watching some guys play D on him. It's like they have yet to realize how accurate he is, even from 30 ft. He shouldn't be allowed to breathe because of how good he is from deep. Let him drive and force him to hit runners or long Js. Foul him hard at the rim...

This would be easier back in the day, which is why he wouldn't be this good, but still would probably score 20-23 ppg.

Please stop expressing the same point in multiple ways.
No point of comparing the past to the present. Things change with time and humans should too. Both of them are successful.

For example, if you make the same amount of money today during mj's time, you would have lived like a king too.

Dell was a good player back in the day, but he wasn't a superstar like Steph... The rules on defense were so so different...

The NBA started changing the rules on defense at the end of the 94 season because of the knicks and pistons and they changed them again in 99, because they wanted more scoring..

Dell could flat out shoot and would be a superstar in this era with the defensive rules as they are.

I don't think people are saying Curry wouldn't even be a spot up shooter in the older rules. Of course they aren't saying he would be lesser than his dad or Kerr or Bullard. They are just saying he wouldn't be THIS GOOD. I'm not so sure i agree with that anymore seeing as how he'd always have teammates setting hard screens to get him open anyway.
