GOP partisans will support Trump because he has an 'R' and not a 'D' and if they don't want to see the party go down to another humiliating third defeat in a row in the presidential election they will. If we put any stock in current polls Trump very well could be the next President he is either beating Clinton and Sanders or within the margin of error of most polls. If the GOP doesn't want to completely destroy the party they will support him if just to get a Republican back into the Presidency.
The comparison to Putin is apt in the context that both are coming to power based off of a cult of personality that emphasizes their own virility. Both Trump and Putin's rhetoric ties their own personal strength with revival of their countries strength. One other disturbing comparison is that Trump has already said that he favors national security over fundamental liberties in the Bill of Rights. He also has taken shots at critics in the media and while he wouldn't be able to jail them like Putin it wouldn't surprise if he use other tools of executive power to make things difficult for them. Trump =/ Putin but there are some unsettling similarities.
You do understand that was a study done by four americans to see if his approval ratings were real or not right? (I really hate rhetorical questions)They concluded they were real. The russians I have talked to love Putin, not the real story?
I mean there's stupid people everywhere so I'm sure some Russians like him (again, since Putin owns all media he controls the message that people in Russian receive). Since they only hear what he wants them to hear, his ratings could be good because of that There are people who supported bin laden, that doesn't mean he's good
I don't, I'm from there (and my family and family friends). My point is that people who live there do not get a real picture of what's happening, because he controls all media. Their opinion isn't useful because they don't get the whole picture
If given the opportunity, you really think Trump wouldn't do the same? I'm not defending Putin, but Trump is the same kind of scum.
No I don't, those kinda people are very rare. I don't think he would shoot down a civilian plane. Putin is a terrorist and I don't think Trump would shoot down an American plane
Sure would like to know some of Trump's policy positions. So far, all I have is that that he is going to build a wall. Based on things he has said in the past, he may very well be left of Clinton, would would be hilarious.
Supports waterboarding "and much worse believe me. Even if it doesn't work they deserve it" Taxing Keystone Pipeline at 25% whatever that means Taxing Mexican imports at 35% somehow.
Bigger, better, best people, boom, great again, shiny, people love me, trade deal good, happy, shiny. From what I can tell, that's about it.
Meh, whatever Trump has the power to do on his own wouldn't be so bad (gutting federal agencies), and anything bad he could do (like raising tariffs) he can't do without Congress.
This is a great commercial for Hillary to use as soon as Trump is declared the Republican nominee. Just run this on a loop. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/rcUCLwWCihE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
