Okay, I should qualify this - I meant, in terms of being a populist, and in terms of having no respect for anyone or anything. Yes, there is no evidence that he would murder political opponents, and he is obviously not a terror supporter like Erdogan. In a way, Trump is also entertaining because he is different from the usual streamlined and boring candidates. But when you can tell that he is actually serious about curtailing freedom of speech and freedom of the press and when you see him making fun of handicapped people, then one should not just dismiss it as a clown act. I wouldn't want to trust this guy to not actually jail journalists if he could, and who knows what he would do in international politics, if angry.

I think all the choices you have in your election aren't that great. Rubio, perhaps? I'm tired of seeing Hillary Clinton. Sanders strikes me as the most genuine of all of them, although he is about as far from me in terms of economic policy beliefs as one could be.

Just like I said, you are going to see conservatives start to slowly say Trump is okay.

Look at bigtexxx already. Mojoman, Trader_Jorge, basso, commodore... they will all start to line up, as will most of the GOP, as soon as Trump promises vague "tax cuts" and vague "constitutionalists" for the SCOTUS. It will be "anything but Hillary," and that's already starting.

Trump has a good shot to be the next POTUS.

B-Bob, learn to read more carefully. I said that Trump wasn't the equivalent of a former KGB agent who murders his political opponents or a Turkish leader with double standards on terrorism. Then I said that I don't support Trump and complained about the liberal media. That doesn't mean I am lining up behind Trump. You're trying to fit my words to the biased narrative you want to be true, but you failed.

If Trump is clearly going to be the nominee, not certain yet, but increasingly likely, you will be trumpeting his "virtues."

I hope I am wrong, texxx. Sincerely. We shall see.

If he promises you a nice tax cut. If he keeps up hawkish talk. If he brings back a neocon zombie for foreign policy... we'll see how your tune evolves, or not.

I think Republican partisans will do that if Trump runs away with it, but no true conservative could ever support Trump. Trump garners his support from the same branch of the Republican party as the Governor of Jersey Shore and that certainly isn't the conservative part of the Republican party.

Nope. I've just read hundreds of your posts (somehow!). I would love for you to prove me wrong should Trump get the Republican nod.

T_J has tons of connections with Mexican industrialists. Might want to ask him for some contacts.

In a forum where you get brilliance like klay>harden, and Horry is a HOF, comparing Trump to Putin takes the cake. Obviously you aren't Russian so you don't know anything about Putin, but holy crap......AT LEAST wait till he kills a few people

Very true, Trump would be a LOT worse than Putin.

it was a hyperbole, but I think you guys are missing his point. Trump's rhetoric has always been to shoot down those who appose them (in a verbally abusive way or through some sort of litigation). Anybody that disagrees with him is immediately thrown into the fire. Combine that with the fact that he has a cult of troopers motivated by hate, you may be catching a case of one those guys in its early stages.

Believe me, I'm one of the last people to agree with him we hardly agree on much, be he is making a strong point.

This is *awesome*. Republicans being dared to support Trump and look like idiots or not support Trump, lose the Presidency, and look like idiots. It's like a game of conservative chicken. Bahahaha...

Well if they were smart enough to NOT support Trump, then they'd probably win the presidency. It comes down to if they want to support Rubio, or if they want to support Clinton or Sanders. That's literally the only 2 options.

No, I'm not joking. The only joke is Trump.

When it comes to Putin, he does a lot of bad things, but at least he's a competent leader. With Trump you wouldn't even get that kind of upside.

The analogy here is that Putin is a dirty NBA player, Trump would be a bench warmer on a middle school B team. You may not like Putin, but at least he's good at what he does.

For the record i'm not a Trump supporter and won't be voting for him, just as a Russian it's very offensive that you would stay stuff like this when you have no clue what's going on in Russia
