You could argue that GSW would not be great if Morey was their GM.

They were great because they kept their core group of role players together, had a Finals MVP on the bench.

    Even made Draymond an allstar.

You got to keep the role players around and hope they fit. At some point.

Can we buy DD's whining ass out as a Rocket Fan? That would be money well spent to rid the forum of his repetitive spam. We get it, you're mad at Les..... Shut up already.

We did sign a lot of our role players to contracts and brought them back from last year. The issue is how good are the role players? Obviously Morey thought he found the right amount of offense and defense with his group of guys and then took a risk on Ty Lawson.

I don't know how Morey would run GSW starting with their high lottery picks and their ownership. I think it's ignorant to assume he would run the team the same since they are different circumstances that led them to today's date.

They drafted remarkable well given their core's draft position is from high picks to second round.

They also moved assets to acquire Bogut (an elite defensive center with injury issues) and a versatile 3/4 in Andre Iguodala.

I think luck is often overlooked in the Spurs and GSW. Not every team is lucky enough to not only draft a superstar but a superstar with the type of personality and leadership to keep improving and putting winning first.

Can a mod just retitle this thread to "I hate Les and think he's all about his money and not about winning" and then redirect all DD's posts into one thread? You know since DD's been acting like a 5 year old spewing passive aggressive temper tantrums throughout the garm. At least keep it all in one garbage bin.

Waiving Thorton did nothing, because he was not claimed.

Waive Jones now even if the Rockets are under tax now. It'll force JB to play Harrell which would be good for his development and trade value.

I hope so that way JB will force to play Harrell.

Lots of bashing about me saying we would do everything possible to get under that taxline - even though history has proven that is exactly what Le$ wants.

There is no need to do that if you think this team can turn it around - they are essentially waving the white flag....how long until Howard is shut down to protect his earning potential?

les wants to save money AND win. i dont think dwight gets shut down while there is a chance at the playoffs.

les would rather earn money in the playoffs and give our pick to denver. i would rather keep our pick than get swept in 4 blowouts to GSW.

I would rather keep the pick than play the 8th seed too - unless it serves a purpose of getting some playoff EXP for players you are looking to keep.

The problem is, who would that be? Looks like they don't want to pay DMo or Tjones, and there are not a lot of young kids that are in the rotation, so probably best to simply slide on down to 9th or lower.

Because you lack context. Les wants to win, not simply just make into the playoffs but how is smart to pay tax on team that won't win?
