Does the team have shooting coach? If so, who is he? If not, why not? If a team is struggling shooting, why don't the teams hire a shooting coach or a former shooter? What do they do to get players out of shooting slumps? Maybe let Terry work with the players on their shooting. Like take a whole practice to work on it. These things keep me up at night.
Rockets don't have a free throw coach. Free throw shooting isn't even mandatory in practices. Remember this next time you want to complain that we can't hit a free throw.
I agree for the most part but realistically bad form gonna bad form. Brewer, Jones, Smith, Howard and Lawson are guilty of this. It would take at least 500 shots per day in the off season to correct their shooting flaws and at this point in their careers it's almost pointless.
It would be nice to see the team do something. They hired Hakeem for the big guys, why not Murphy for shooting?
It should work. I remember Matt Bullard said he had a shooting session with Josh Smith. Smith was shooting much better after that. Now he is back to bricking, better have another one with Matt soon. With a legit shooting coach, everyone should benefit!
Murph does attend practice at times and gives instructions to players, Bull does too but like I said it can't be fixed during the season. If your form is solid and you're struggling a shooting coach can absolutely help.
Josh fixed his shooting percentage with the Rockets last season when McHale had him shooting a million threes after practice.
If we hired Brian Cook, this team would be shooting at a higher than GSW-level and be banned from the league.
Not a shooting coach but... <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">JB Bickerstaff says former NBA player Clifford Ray has been added to the staff as a consultant to work with the <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Rockets?src=hash">#Rockets</a> bigs</p>— Mark Berman (@MarkBermanFox26) <a href="https://twitter.com/MarkBermanFox26/status/704760807976890369">March 1, 2016</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
