Happy might need to think about parting ways with Fegan before it affects his core business. This sort of exodus doesn't happen without reason.
I hope Dwight has set a precedent and one by one every player drops the scumbag Dan Fegan until he has ZERO NBA players left
Ooh I'd love a riddle or a sneak peak behind scenes if possible Cod. P.S. Hope treatment is going well fam.
Thanks, buddy. Treatment is hell, but it's supposed to be...so I'm told. No news from over here...just aftermath stuff from MT's release. Definitely not pleased. Personally,I was thrilled when I was told he was signing here, especially at his rate. Whenever I get any word of a player from Adelman's old stomping grounds(either direct lineage or with ties) coming to Htown, I'm interested. We all know the "it's a business" line, but even with potential financial benefits, I'm definitely opposed to how the Rockets did MT. I guess it started with McHale forgetting that the guy was on the bench for the first 2 games, and once he released the beast, we saw a guy who could hit a mid range jumper and a 3 pointer. I mean, a jumper?! In this offense?! All of a sudden, he's starting, but soon, we began witnessing the fluctuations in minutes, even during times when the Rockets couldn't find an easy bucket. Long story short, Marcus was a breath of fresh air on this roster, but he was misused. The various dog house assignments were idiotic, especially after a night where MT drained 5-6 threes. That was a tired season-long trend. And finally, after failing in shipping one of our better scorers/morale guys to the depths of SVG Hell , we waive him. Just like that... Tis the business... I'm listening to the burn on the Buy Out/Waiver line, but MT would have been nice insurance in the post season. You there, TY?
Do you think he might do it if Morey has 2 max free agents lined up already? Take a 1 year minimum, then a 5 year max (since cap room would be irrelevant for the Rockets going forward). Or take a 5 year non-max in the immediate future. Dwight would get more money and a better shot at winning if he were willing to 'Barkley it'. Unfortunately the way Barkley goes on about getting ripped off by Les probably makes it an unlikely scenario...
I'm supposed to be more spiritual through my own battle (yeahh....about that...) but I'm sensing some good vibes from Dwight cleaning house. That was a long, invested relationship. Maybe this is the calm before the post-season monster that Dwight needs to be. Maybe getting rid of the guy who has strained the relationship with your employer AND your coworkers is the remedy the Rockets need. One thing that the Rockets need to continue building quickly is trust. James and Co need to get the ball to Dwight more than ever now. Trusting Dwight to make good decisions in the post will do wonders for our playoff chances. When he gets his points, or a good pass, D12 gets that bounce to his step, which leads to him securing a tough rebound, changing a shot or hitting his free throws. We saw it in Portland. Dwight and James were clicking. I like Josh starting (even with his rough couple of games), based on his chemistry with Dwight. Despite his missed shots, Josh makes some great passes, defends well and can still go to work in the post. I hope JB rides with that going forward, with CB/Montrezl coming off the bench. And, speaking of the bench, please keep Mr. Capela on it at all times, with a clear, constant view of Dwight/Josh and opposing, legit bigs.
I don't have any idea as to if Dwight would do that. It's a huge risk though. He could have a serious injury or as you say, he'd have to have absolute trust in Alexander/Rockets. I personally can't see him taking a cut all the way to the minimum. That's not to say that he might not be willing to take somewhat of a paycut, I just don't think that he'd take the minimum. Just speculation on my part though.
I choose to live in my own reality and will take this as an awesome thing just because Fegan is the devil.
Yeah, I hear ya. Keep grinding. Yeah, it stinks how that situation played out. I hated how he torched us a few years ago on a final game against kings and it knocked us out of playoffs. Still fresh. So I was excited for his shooting in our offense. He really wasn't good defensively but our entire roster has been shaky on that end. The best defense I've seen lately was the 3rd and 4th against pdx. I hope ty wakes up cuz we could use another playmaker. For all james' heroics the other day, the 1/2 pnr into miss match iso only works so much.
I wonderI wonder who Dwight hires now. Even though we don't like Fegan based on our perception, we could only hope he was the issue with dwight wanting out. Hopefully now that he's out the picture, Dwight will want to stay and hopefully slightly disocunted.
