I think Kap is good with a good Offensive Line and a good coach..

He would def. be worth the risk.. But for some reason i would give RG3 a shot

I think Kap is done.... took one-too-many hits, and he's lost that fearlessness that made him video-game dangerous. He never was an elite pocket passer; his strength was based on his mobility/read-option threat that has now been neutralized. Russel Wilson has been able to withstand that sort of regression because he is a better pocket passer and is more athletic/stronger-built to withstand some of the hits he's taken.

He's also a turnover machine.... something the Texans obviously have seen enough of from their QB's of late.

RG3's only advantage is that nobody has seen him play in over a year... but in reality, he was even worse than Kapernick is now, following all the injuries. Then you add locker-room cancer to his resume, and I don't think he can be any team's #1 option at QB right now. He would basically be a flyer-type risk for a team that already has a solid QB option.

I wouldnt buy the locker room cancer on RG3.. This guy has been a true professional (While he was demoted) Some of his teammates have recently came out publicly to defend him and state he will succeed in the NFL and has a lot of talent...

Im not saying he will turn out to be good again (But man i would like to be the team to take the chance on the risk) small risk big reward.. ( Actually i dont even think there is any QB in this draft that had the potential RG# has/had when he was drafted

Sure, just ignore some of the reasons for his demotion included that his team just flat-out disliked him. Sure, they respect the way he went into hiding and took the demotion like a man, but there's enough there to deduce that he wasn't necessarily doing the necessary work to be better, as well as be a viable leader.

Sure, he's got talent... but in this league that's not close to being the most important thing when it comes to succeeding.

In the end, he simply fills the ongoing list of players that showed early promise but eventually fizzled out (either due to injury, due to regressing skills, due to inability to re-adjust once the league adjusted, or due to not working hard enough). There are more examples of guys like him... than there are of what you think the best-case scenario of him could be right now (a once highly touted prospect who had early success, then failure, then went back to having success).

Then we shouldn't trade for him, genius. Even if he had any value, we aren't in any position to trade considering our brilliant pick and roster management

Why havent the Redsking released RG3 (Seriously) i dont think any team would be dumb enough to trade for that contract (and there president already confirmed he will not be with the team)

also for the experts: If Rg3 is released today (Example) can he sign with any team now?
or does he have to wait for March 9?

if he actually thinks that would/could have been funny in any way, then his draft stock should fall even more.

Talent alone on this guy make him questionable to me. Add a bad attitude and you have a completely wasted pick and years wasted by a franchise. No thanks.

Kap is garbage. For the most part he's just a RB pretending to be a QB, in some systems you can make that work, but there's just better options out there....like not picking up anyone at all and going with Savage.

Kaepernick is not a fit with our offense and there is no way our front office will even take a look at him. If they feel their "guy" is in the draft, take him. If not, keep building a deep and flexible team through the draft.

Savage?? you really think hes going to work out.. BOB decided not to have him on a roster spot last year.. WHY? because he thought Hoyer and Mallet were going to be the saviors-

IF BOB really believed he can be the guy or has a shot- he would have left him on the roster when he got hurt-

yea maybe in 2020 will find a QB- when Hopkins Watt and everyone else will be declining:

this team needs to really take a risk on a QB (Trade down in the draft) Trade for someone who you think could be the guy (i dunno maybe someone is secretly available (Stafford, Rivers) i dunno but we have to find a QB soon

No, not really. I think he'll probably be better than Kap would be, but that doesn't mean at all good. Personally I bring in RG3 as a reclamation project and see what I have in Savage while drafting a QB of the future.

His attitude and coaching have always been the biggest hurdles for him.

Well RG3 being in Houston recently leads me to believe he might be. He'd have a shot at starting day one here, he won't get that chance many other places and certainly not on any team as good as the Texans can be.

As to BOB, he says he likes smart QB's right? Well RG3 is a smart guy, he graduated from high school a year early and graduated from Baylor in 3 years and spent his last year working on a master's. He's got the brains at least on paper.

DC Radio has reported that Houston has interest in RG3, so while I severely doubt his on-field abilities, it looks like I might have to start rooting for the best.
