It doesn't seem like you read my post. My judgement is based off of watching him play since his first game as a Rocket, not one quarter.

And are you seriously trying to discredit his offensive load my bringing up his off ball movement? What a joke. He basically creates every damn shot on offense for this team, if he isn't scoring he's getting an assist and if he isn't getting an assist he's getting a hockey assist and if he isn't getting either it's because his teammates are missing shots.

His defense is down because he is playing a ridiculous amount of minutes, and carries a ridiculous load on offense. Again not 1 quarter judgement, a judgement I made after watching his 2nd game as a Houston Rocket.

so by your logic, ariza pretty much guards the other team's best wingman, and thus it excuses for all his bricked shots?

JB coached his best game. Putting James in the post should be our thing it seemed to help get him in rhythm late. I saw some good plays drawn up by JB. He also tried to play KJ but tonight we didn't need him. Also, Montrezl Harrell's energy is infectious.

Its games like this that make me SO happy... and so bummed about this year.

SOMETHING is there, its buried deep in these guys and every now and then we get glimpses of a team thats even better than last year. We almost never play a FULL good game, but when I see us play 20+ bball minutes like THIS... man it makes you think that this could've been a 60-win team with the right leadership.

No more Lawson, limited to no TJ minutes, I wish DMo could be healthy, and I do like JSmith being back even though he is the most doubly of double-edged swords.

If Capela could finish at the rim OR hit FTs I'd be so happy. This year he can do neither, whereas last year he finished better and shot better FTs during the season at least.

There was a point where we heard Bickerstaff say "this is where we make a stand...!" in the middle of a timeout, and I got that Braveheart, Independence Day, Return of the King feeling... hoping it'd become a reality, but we were still so far down.

This was a big game, huge win and should mean more.

I just don't know what it'll matter though, with the Warriors playing the way they are. I don't mean this season, I mean for the ages, honestly. Nothing the Rockets do will make a difference unless they develop some consistent chemistry and have good leadership at the helm. I hope to god that this Harden/Howard team can do something more than just 1 WCFinals appearance, but I guess some cities never even really see that.

Firstly, Ariza is shooting over 38% from deep, he's not bricking a lot of shots.

Secondly, YES. Do you honestly believe that exhausting your self on one side of the floor doesn't effect you on the other side? It absolutely does. Luckily for Ariza, he doesn't have to create ANYTHING of offense, instead he is a spot up shooter who's role is to focus on defense.

the load (or overload) on one side of the ball ofc affects the other side. no question. but it should not be an excuse. that's all.

and harden isnt that overload on offense compared to other franchise players, if you ask me.

I missed the game today ( yes, it does happen on occasions!) but stopped by the local blacktop on my way home to go 1 on 1 ( I won 12-10, I haven't played since New Year) & dude there, who is a Knicks fan said 'I think Rockets lost to Portland today' which really bummed me out...

    A) Because I usually will watch a replay of the game after shutting out the internet all day.

    B) We Lost...again.

    &

    C) I was rusty as ever and was gassed! I'm a big guy but never usually get gassed.

...I get home, check my phone & y'all should have seen the smile come across my face when I saw the actual score!

Heck, I think I even did a jig!!!

    Name them please

Another offensive star who has NO 2nd offensive option, and has a bad coaching staff (no good offensive nor defensive system implemented). That isn't criticized for defense or turnovers or low FG%.

The only player I can think of is Davis. And his team is awful.

Maybe Wall? Maybe PG13? Neither have great fg%'s, neither score on Harden's level, PG13 has a bad A/TO ratio

That 3rd and 4th quarters looks familiar to me! Elite defense, superstar hero ball, that's JVG basketball!
