Lindsey Graham ain't happy: WASHINGTON (AP) — Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham, who unsuccessfully sought his party's presidential nomination, on Thursday called Donald Trump a "nut job" who likely will win the GOP nod, but lose in November's general election. "He's just generally a loser as a person and a candidate," the South Carolina senator told reporters, adding, "You can't nominate a nut job and lose and expect it doesn't have consequences." Asked whether he'd endorse the billionaire businessman if nominated, Graham said, "I've got a ticket on the Titanic. So I am like on the team that bought a ticket on the Titanic after we saw the movie. This is what happens if you nominate Trump." "I think he's going to lose, he's going to lose badly. And I think all the things that we care about are going to be locked in place, and she's going to get to pick Supreme Court nominees," he said of Hillary Clinton, the Democratic front-runner. He added that Clinton also would protect President Barack Obama's health care law, block the Keystone XL pipeline and ensure federal funds for Planned Parenthood. Speaking again of Trump, Graham said: "He's ill-suited for the job. What Hispanic person would vote for the Republican Party when the leader of the party has just called illegal immigrants as a group mostly rapists and drug dealers, and is going to deport 11 million people including American-born children? Everybody in the Hispanic community knows at least one illegal immigrant, like I do." Trump and Graham have engaged in name-calling in the past, and last year, Trump gave out Graham's private cell phone number. ------ On another note: have we much information on who might be apart of a Trump administration?
I don't care about Bobby's posts on Andre, Hoyer, etc. Our differences on those will keep. But I wholeheartedly agree that he should post as much and as often as he wants about how bad Trump is. Because Trump really is that bad. In so many ways that it is reaching War and Peace (or Remembrances of Things Past) proportions. I have never, ever volunteered for a political party, but if Trump gets the nomination, I will volunteer every day for the Democrats until the first week of November. He and his followers are that bad.
Too funny. Rubio is telling everyone to drop out when he's getting blasted in his home state. Donald Trump Leads Marco Rubio by 16 Points in New Florida Poll http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/donald-trump-leads-marco-rubio-16-points-florida/story?id=37188753 With 19 days to go before the Florida Republican primary, GOP front-runner Donald Trump has opened up a 16-point lead over Sen. Marco Rubio. The Quinnipiac poll result is a red flag for the Rubio campaign. The junior senator from Florida has failed to win any of the early nominating contests and faces an absolute must-win situation in Florida, where he has a home-field advantage. A Trump victory in the swing state – as well as its 99 delegates – would be a major win and potentially seal his path to the nomination. Texas Sen. Ted Cruz earned 12 percent support in the poll, with Ohio Gov. John Kasich at 7 percent and retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson at 4 percent. Trump leads among men, as well as voters who cited the economy, terrorism and immigration as their most important issues in the poll. Each remaining challenger to Trump faces make-or-break contests in their home states as well. Cruz faces a pivotal match in Texas next Tuesday, and Kasich will face off in Ohio on March 15, the same day as the Florida primary. Trump has the support of nearly every demographic group, including a 50 percentage point lead among voters who want a candidate with strong leadership. Trump has flexed his electoral muscle during three of the early nominating contests – New Hampshire, South Carolina and Nevada. Cruz won the first-in-the-nation caucus state of Iowa nearly a month ago. This Quinnipiac University poll was conducted from Feb. 21-24 among 705 Florida likely Republican primary voters. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.7 percentage points.
He didn't call illegals rapist. He called Mexicans rapist. I am Mexican American so yes I am offended. Do the racist republicans forget all the hate speech... I mean I know he tosses a new one each week but try to keep up. "When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best," he said. "They're sending people that have lots of problems...they're bringing drugs, they're bringing crime. They're rapists. And some, I assume, are good people."
Please don't take away people's methods of excusing prejudice. It makes it so much more difficult for them.
We know he would find the 'best' and 'smartest' people for every key job. This would somehow immediately make America 'great' 'again'. So, in recap: 1. Elect Trump 2. ???? 3. Cabinet filled by 'best' people. 4. ???? 5. America is "great again."
President Camacho/Trump's troll game is +8 Accuracy, x1.3 Damage Marco Rubio: “If you're going to claim that you're the only one that lifted this [immigration] into the campaign, that you acknowledge that, for example, you're the only person on this stage that's ever been fined for hiring people to work on your projects illegally.” Trump: “I’m the only one on the stage that’s hired people. I've hired tens of thousands of people over my job. You've hired nobody. You've had nothing but problems with your credit cards."
That troll game was epic, the GOP is paying for the clowns of voters that they have bread over the years.
GOP is going to get behind Rubio on this one. I think tonight did nothing to help them. Good barbs all around.
Rubio tried to get up and show he was a man, but the second he was bent over....dude grabbed his ankles instead of getting up. Cruz...man, even with the double team lost his cool. As much as I hate everything Trump stands for, the guy is as masterful of a politician as they come. Say nothing meaningful, promise everything, stoop low and command the respect of the voters regardless. He can say anything he wants to at this point and he'd still be the nominee.
Mark Blond popped Trump in the mouth tonight. Trump didn't win tonight - he was exposed for shallow positions. No depth.
