If he can't beat Trump for evangelicals, he has no hope. Thanks. I should have been able to look that up. Talking policy, I'm not sure I really like what he's saying here. 1. Requiring use of e-verify for government contracts is great and all, but I don't think the usual suspects when it comes to illegal hires are companies with government contracts. He doesn't say anything about compelling or inducing other businesses to use the tool. That's probably because of freedom and all, but if those companies aren't using e-verify, I don't see how the system will help reduce illegal immigration. Making it easy to use is great for people who want to obey the law. But, for people who want to gain economic advantage by hiring illegals with flimsy I9s, they'll avoid using e-verify unless compelled. 2. I like how he wants to call it a national security tool so that the next time he shuts down the government, this process will still run. It's an important government function, but it's not a national security tool like border security.

Trump isn't even coming to the Debate in Houston. He doesn't care about Texas at all and he might still beat Cruz.
The simple truth is if Cruz is still in the race on Super Tuesday than the Democratic nominee will be the next president. We'll find out pretty soon what Cruz REALLY cares about.
